Stones might look good in your garden when they’re fresh, but when the w**ds grow - even with those awful w**d mats in place - it takes time and effort to get them looking good again.

Here are a few before/after pics from a job I did yesterday. 👍☺️🌿

DON’T MISS OUT!! 🥳🥳🥳

Does your dad have a garden??

Simply comment below by Wed 2nd Sept to get FREE GARDENING for your Dad on Saturday‼️✅ I’ll travel anywhere in the metro area! 👍🌿

😀🎉🌿 WIN! WIN! WIN! 🌿🎉😀

To help celebrate Father’s Day and to help show your dear Dad how much you care about him, I’m offering:

✅ 2 hours of FREE WEEDING and/or MOWING for your father’s garden on Saturday 5th Sept 10am-12pm (I can achieve A LOT in 2 hours!😁) - the day before Father’s Day.

To be in the running, all you need is for your Dad to live somewhere in the Perth metro area, then simply COMMENT BELOW with his suburb, then telling me why you want your Dad to get my help with his garden. If you can send a photo that would be great too! It would also be good if your Dad will be home that Saturday morning so I can meet him. ☺️

As busy as I am, I always want to find ways (and the time) to help people out who need it. 👍🥰

My own father recently had to leave his own home and beloved garden, and move into an aged care home in Hobart. This was a bit sad - he misses his garden terribly.

This reinforced my view that having a nice garden is so important for both our physical and mental health. 💚💚

On the other hand, one’s mental health can certainly suffer if the garden becomes untidy! 😓😓

So let me help! 🩷 Tell me why/how your Dad might want me to help in his garden - including one photo if possible (but not necessary) - and I’ll choose the winner on Wednesday 2/9/26. Don’t worry if he lives a long way from Freo - I’ll travel if I need to! 🚐

I’ll let everyone know who the winner is on this post, so stay tuned! Your father could be the lucky one! 🎉👍✅🌿

Thanks everyone. Get writing your entries below - and tell your friends to enter! I’m sure we’ll all enjoy reading comments about Dads and their gardens. ☺️🌿🌳

Couch grass 😩 - there are no easy ways to rid your garden beds of this highly invasive grass type. (The easiest way is to call me!🤔😂)

As a home gardener, try to dig the runners out carefully as soon as you see them creeping into your garden beds - before they completely take over!

Fortunately, I could rid the bed below of most of the offending grass in this small area in a relatively short time. ✅ Another happy client! ☺️

The best time to plant is SOON! 👍🌿🥰

You can apply for a Treebate of up to $150 if you live in WA and buy a native tree that grows more than 3m tall. 🎉😀🌳

Tipuana seed pods lying around under our trees.
Photo 1 shows an untouched seed in the ‘wing’, but most of the seeds, as you can see, have been devoured by the sharp beaks of the cockatoos. 👍😋
Time to get the rake out! 😅

Video 4 (last) in series… The ‘mess’ that’s left in our garden after the Carnaby’s have feasted above. (You can hear the seed pods being dropped continuously from above!)

Video 3 in series : The Carnaby’s suddenly take flight and head off to another location… So many of them!! 😳🥳 But I’m sure they’ll be back again soon! ☺️❤️ (They know there are still plenty of seeds left!)

Video 2 in this series: Carnaby’s cockatoos are still flying in and enjoying their feast in our trees! 🥰🌿[SOUND ON]

17/07/2026

We live on a busy suburban street near Fremantle. Despite the noise, our Tipuana trees (note: native to South America!) are currently providing a valuable food source for WA’s Carnaby’s cockatoos - sadly endangered due to rapidly decreasing areas of canopy and pockets of bushland in our state. 😓

I’ve never seen so much interest in our trees by the Carnaby’s as I’ve noticed this year. They’d normally prefer banksias, hakeas, jarrah, marri, sheoaks.

Please don’t chop your trees down just because they’re not native to WA. Or because they’re too ‘messy’. 🤪 They may be providing a valuable habitat and food source for our native wildlife! ☺️❤️

More videos to follow…

🤣 The sound of the Carnaby’s drowns out any traffic noise I feel! 🤣
