Proud of the work done by our project partners on with and

Through this collaboration, brick offcuts and surplus materials from construction sites are collected by ECR and returned to Midland Brick for processing. These materials are then crushed and reintroduced into the production of high-quality clay bricks, specifically for this project.

While bricks are inherently recyclable, they are often downcycled into road base or fill when recovered from demolition or construction sites.

The site’s history, as the world-renowned Australian Fine China factory; a place of innovation, clay, and craft, informed our approach here. It becomes a way to celebrate the cultural and material history of the site, while introducing contemporary sustainable practices in building.
