This ceiling rose is one of those details that gives a kitchen some classic charm.

In this White Gum Valley , the 1940s home was completely reworked, so the finishes had to feel like they belonged there from day one.

The ceiling rose was moulded to suit the room, paired with cornice to match the age of the home.

Not to mention, the pendant lights set it off perfectly 👌

Justin’s in Alfred Cove at our recently finished project for second-time clients.

👉 We took on a second storey addition, rear extension + double garage in just 6️⃣ months.

The original house had a 90s kit-form upper level so we reworked the upstairs to make sense of the space.

🏠 We then reclad the entire exterior so it became one cohesive instead of a patchwork of eras and materials.

Plenty of curveballs thanks to earlier choices, but nothing that stopped us getting a clean result at the end.

What makes a “good” renovation budget?

❌ It’s not just a number on a page + it's not about cutting back.

✅ It’s knowing what you can spend, where it should go, what matters most...and leaving a bit of room for the things you don’t see (literally).

Done right, it keeps things moving + helps manage those mid-build surprises that can occur when we start uncovering roofs, walls, floors, especially on older homes.

👉 Contingency is critical.

What's that saying? 'Expect the unexpected'.

Before we began, this gorgeous East home had so much unrealised potential.

📄 The owners had been sitting on plans for years, waiting for the right time + the right team to bring it to life. After connecting through a referral from our Preston Point Road project, things finally aligned.

What’s happening here isn’t a small refresh. The home will have a new orientation, plus:
🔨 The entire back structure of the property is being removed + rebuilt
🏠 The roof is being reworked for the addition + reorientation
🍴 New kitchen + dining area
🛏️ Upstairs is also a standout — a new master suite, walk-in robe + , all designed to capture the stunning river + city views from the balcony.

Things have shifted since they started planning this but the goal has stayed the same — do it once + do it properly.

This is just the beginning.

Final design meets reality soon!

❌ G O N E — floors, kitchen + walls.
🔨 At our Palmyra reno, what was once the old kitchen is now making way for a new baby’s bedroom, with floor levelling underway as we smooth out years of uneven additions + bring the space back to one clean level.
