Think about what might be sitting in there five or ten years from now.

📦 More storage?
🚙 Extra vehicles?
🌾 Changes to the way the farm operates?

Designing the building before understanding how the business operates.

Where do deliveries arrive?
Where does machinery move?
Where is stock stored?
How high do the doors need to be?
Where are staff working?
Could the business grow?

Until the Burdekin summer hits!

Then it suddenly becomes a VERY interesting part of the building.

When you're planning a shed, patio or other structure in North Queensland, don't only think about what it's going to look like.

Think about what it's going to feel like standing underneath or inside it during summer.

Where's the sun?
Where's the shade?

Where would you naturally put the table or BBQ?

Start with what needs to go inside it. 👇

A 9m x 12m shed might sound huge — until you add the boat, caravan, workbench, mower, shelving and everything currently taking over the garage.

Before deciding on dimensions, think about:

🔹 What needs to fit through the doors?
🔹 How much room do you need around it?
🔹 Will you need power or lighting?
🔹 Do you need extra height?
🔹 Where will vehicles enter and turn?
🔹 What might you need to fit in there five years from now?

A good shed isn't just big enough.
