As the weather starts warming up, it’s time to make sure your pool area is safe and ready for the season ☀️

From gates that don’t self-close properly to gaps in fencing, damaged barriers or objects that could be used to climb into the pool area, these are some of the common reasons pool barriers can fail an inspection.
And even if your pool inspection isn’t due yet, it’s worth checking your pool area regularly to make sure everything is still working as it should.

Got a reminder from the council about your pool safety inspection? Don’t wait until the last minute ⚠️

Depending on your local council, you might get anywhere from 1 to 3 months’ notice to complete your pool and barrier inspection. Even if your deadline feels far away, inspectors fill up their schedules months in advance… so booking early is key!

What to do next:
Check your notice: Find out exact due dates from your council.

Book ahead: Secure your inspection early to avoid last-minute stress or fines.

A lot of pool and spa owners had their compliance inspection around this time 4 years ago, which means your next inspection may be due soon.

If this sounds like you, or you’re simply unsure when your next inspection is due, I’m always happy to check with the council for you. And if you have any questions about the process, feel free to ask, I’m here to help.

If you’ve received a letter about an affected inspector, simply provide the letter to redeem this offer. Alternatively, you can provide your current Form 23 with the affected inspector’s name listed on it.
