“No kids in the house? Surely I don’t need a pool fence inspection...”

Think again!

One of the most common myths among Victorian homeowners is that pool safety compliance only matters if you have young children living at home.

But under the Victorian Building Regulations 2018, the law is universal. If your pool or spa can hold more than 300mm (30cm) of water, it MUST have a certified compliant barrier, regardless of who lives inside the house.

Why? Because pool safety rules aren’t just about your household. They protect: Visiting family, friends, or neighbours’ children; emergency service workers entering your property; future buyers or tenants of your home
Failing to register your pool or lodge your Certificate of Compliance with your local council every 4 years can result in heavy fines.

At Rules for Pools, our goal is to get you compliant, not sting you with fines. If your pool has a minor issue on the day, David will try to help you fix it right then and there!

What if it’s a larger fix that can’t be done on the day?
Don’t sweat it. We offer free re-inspections within 60 days to give you plenty of time to get it sorted without paying a cent more.
