𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁!

Our Wellcamp team ditched the hi-vis for glitz and glamour on the weekend and joined hundreds of supporters at the annual LifeFlight Gala Ball.

The fundraising ball held in Toowoomba was another huge success, with guests enjoying an evening of entertainment, but importantly, digging deep to raise an amazing $957,500.

MPK was proud to be an event sponsor and play a part in ensuring the dedicated LifeFlight team can continue to deliver their lifesaving services across regional Queensland.

A huge shout out to LifeFlight and event organisers for another awesome night.

Great job everyone!

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗸’𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗯𝗶𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Next time you’re on a road trip and hit the 210km mark, take a moment to think of Mick Newby, who notched up that distance in pipe welds last week while working out on our Santos Ltd GLNG Project.

Mick cracked 10,000 welds after toiling away in his Fast Fusion machine for the past 7 years and his work mates decided to take timeout to congratulate him after he hit this impressive welding milestone.

Known as “Mainline Mick”, his tally of conventional and live tie-in welds, along with 5000+ butt fusion welds, puts him at the top of his game in welding circles and we’re super proud to have this legend on board.

Crew mates said Mick’s always willing to pass on his extensive knowledge, whether that’s about the intricacies of pipe welding or his other love - chicken farming - because apparently, he’s an expert in both fields.

Always ready to offer up some quick-witted humour at pre-starts and to lend a hand when needed, his crew mates said Mick was an integral part of the team and was what made everything tick – day-in, day out!

A huge congrats on your welding milestone Mick and an MPK merch bag is on its way out to you.

Keep up the great work legend, because you’re what makes MPK - MPK!

𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁!

At a time when Australia is recognising the importance of good driving behaviour for National Road Safety Week (May 17-24), one of MPK’s finest showed us just what that really means.

Our client Santos Ltd contacted us this week to give a shout out to truck driver Danny Wyatt, who they said truly demonstrated the great road safety culture we have here at MPK.

Santos said Danny was driving a loaded rig in wet weather with poor visibility, but when traveling through the town of Drillham, decided to safely pull his rig over, so a long line of cars behind him could pass around safely.

Santos said it was a clear-cut case of Danny being respectful and caring for other drivers and making our roads safer for everyone.

Sometimes, it’s just those little things we do like taking a minute to let other drivers safely go around to get on with their day, that makes all the difference.

Hearing positive feedback about Danny’s driving behaviour comes as no surprise to MPK, but when we hear good things about our people, we reckon it’s worthy of recognition.

A gift card is on its way to you Danny Boy, you’re what makes MPK – MPK.

Top job lad!

𝗠𝗣𝗞 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆!

Our Q1 safe driving report has again shown our people are firmly focused on doing their bit to ensure road safety.

Nearly 700 of our drivers scored perfect results during Q1, by adhering to speed limits, driving to conditions, wearing seatbelts, and taking their fatigue breaks.

With our drivers notching up around 3 million km every quarter (that’s not a typo folks), ensuring road safety for our people, other road users and host communities, is the company’s number one priority.

Which is why, when we see drivers like Mohammed Al-Wakeel from our Energy Services Division scoring a perfect driving record month, after month, after month - we know our company’s safe driving education is being embraced.

Mohammed clocked up nearly 2000km this quarter and every one of those was done safely, putting him into the draw for MPK’s Safe Driving Award.

For his stellar driving effort, Mohammed wins a $1000 travel voucher to use on his next R&R.

Awesome job Mohammed, you’re what makes MPK – MPK.

We're pleased to be recognising National Road Safety Week, 17-24 May 2026.

With driving being MPK's number one risk, we continue to implement safe driving initiatives across all of our operations to keep our people and host communities safe when on the road.

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀!

MPK truck drivers have fully-embraced an initiative aimed at ensuring they’re competent, compliant and driving safely behind the wheel.

MPK introduced the role of `Heavy Vehicle Assessor’ (HVA) late last year, as a way of supporting our truck drivers and verifying they were competent to safely operate our vehicles.

Taking on the new role was Brendon Webb, one of MPK’s most experienced truck drivers.

With more than 700 trucks in our fleet and almost as many drivers, Brendon successfully completed VOCs and internal training for our HV team across MPK’s operations.

Brendon said it had been refreshing to see how enthusiastically our truck drivers, whether seasoned pros or new to the industry, had welcomed the HVA initiative and saw its benefits.

But after a stellar effort implementing the new safety initiative, Brendon said it was now time for a fresh face in the role and has handed the HVA baton over to another experienced MPK truck driver - Marc Dotta.

Marc has spent most of his working career in the transport industry and is keen to pass on his extensive driver experience and knowledge and, as an MPK Mental Health First Aider, create a safe space for conversations with fellow work mates.

We look forward to Marc continuing Brendon’s great work and further add to the positive road safety outcomes achieved to date.

A huge shout out to Brendon for his amazing support, and to our legendary truck drivers, who have helped make this road safety initiative work.

Great job everyone!
