Our morning drive to daycare drop off usually involves an argument between a 2 and a 4 year old about whether we are listening to Black Sabbath’s Ironman or Money Talks by AC/DC. Lately there’s been no argument. It’s a unanimous call for Eastern Rosellas by Miles Phillips and Joel Phillips which is then played on repeat for the 6 minute drive!

Eastern Rosellas, or Rainbow Chickens as Teddy likes to call them, are a prominent species in the Central West and a beautiful sight in your own home garden! Here is a few tips on encouraging their visitations and extending their stay.

A captive audience over the weekend for a bushwalk turned plant identification lesson

Ever had a ten year old tell you you’re a nerd? Cause I have 😂

Nothing quite like seeing kids in nature, exploring and getting curious. We found lots of orchids and came down the hill with pockets full of seed pods and handfuls of lichen.

There’s so much diversity in our Central West hills. You just need to take the time to observe and appreciate their beauty.

Luke working his magic on stabilised granite paths

We are lucky to be working on the landscaping for this beautiful home in Forbes that RKJ Builders Pty Ltd have brought back to life! Now we get to bring to life the garden design by Olivia Turner 🌱

The original sandstone foundation means that the paths surrounding the original home need to be permeable and let the house breathe. Deco granite is the perfect solution. We are loving how the granite works with the exposed sandstone.

So exciting seeing this space take form!
