Graham Constructions

Graham Constructions Hey my names Rhys Graham and I`m a local builder in Inverell, NSW. Established at the beginning of 2021

Hey, my names Rhys Graham and I started Graham Constructions because I wanted a challenge to construct and renovate dwellings for locals. I have a wide range of skills and experience in residential, commercial and industrial sectors of the building world. I started my apprenticeship in Inverell, North West NSW in June 2010 working mainly on new steel framed homes and sheds. Once I finished my trad

e in February 2014, I decided to move to Armidale, NSW and get experience in commercial and industrial builds, working for Rice Construction group, based in Tamworth and Armidale. I worked on some of my proudest projects including the TAS girls boarding house, McCulloch Bulk Haulage service shed and the Allied Mills flour manufacturing building. During my time in Armidale I also got experience in residential renovations and new residential timber frame construction. I moved to Forbes, NSW with my wife at the start of 2021 with a vision to go out by myself, and with the experience I have, try my luck at sharing my skills and making people happy with their dream projects. I pride myself and the company on working hard, truthfulness and talking the client through the project if they have any questions. Don`t hesitate to give me a call or message and I`ll do my best to help you.

Step into this beautifully renovated bathroom. Affectionately referred to as the 'pink bathroom' by the clients, we preserved a hint of the original pink, can you spot it? By removing nib walls, installing fresh tiles and adding a fresh coat of paint, we transformed the space without altering the layout. Thanks to for the gorgeous tiles and bathroom accessories, and for the building materials. Big thanks to the local Inverell tradespeople who assisted in completing this project. Our latest machinery storage shed project. We battled the hottest two weeks of the year, but early starts and plenty of hydration paid off. This massive shed boasts 6x4 meter bays, 12 meters in depth and 5 meters to the gutter, the largest we've built to date. Half of it features a concreted workshop with power and water, a necessity in any shed that is being built. A huge thanks to Chris, Monty, Heath and our new apprentice Tom for their hard work. Special thanks to for supplying the shed.

If you’ve got a shed project in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact Graham Constructions and we can discuss ideas.

A farmer's request for a pellet bunker storage solution to make his life easier and feed his cows more cost-effectively led to this project. The constant load of pellets, tractors and trucks demanded a robust 150mm thick, 32MPA concrete slab. Large concrete blocks will be added around the perimeter of the slab to keep the pellets contained. Thanks to Jordan for helping box upSterling Concrete Pumpingacting for the pour, Inverell Regional Concrete for the concrete supply and for their pumping expertise, a job well done! If you’re in the market for pellet storage on your farm, or even a bathroom or deck renovation, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me via a private message and I’ll be sure to get back to you.

Step into this stunning farmhouse bathroom, where rustic charm blends seamlessly with understated sophistication. I'm incredibly proud of this space, featuring gorgeous grey tiles reaching 2.1 metres high on two walls, complemented by V-joint panelling that extends to the ceiling and the other two walls. The absence of cornice creates a sleek, modern look, perfectly accentuated by the beautiful bronze hardware. A convenient shelf along the shower wall provides ample storage. With heated floors and heated towel rails, this bathroom is the perfect for winter. If you're planning a renovation, please don't hesitate to contact Graham Contructions by messaging this page. A huge thanks to , and for supplying top-notch materials, and to my talented tradespeople for their seamless ex*****on, as always.

A low-maintenance, child-safe deck all year around.
When I first met with the client, they mentioned how their old deck, which was well over 20 years old, had begun to rot, splinter and fall apart. Water simply wasn’t drying off in time, and let’s be real, who has the time to sand and prime a deck every 6 months? 😅
I replaced a few joists to make the structure stronger and then installed .nsw boards. Unlike traditional timber, these boards won’t warp, twist, bow, or turn grey, and they won’t splinter either. Plus, the new boards are secret-screwed, so you can’t see any fixings, just a sleek, seamless finish.
To top it off, the clients had a fly screen installed around half the deck so they can enjoy those warm summer afternoons without getting eaten alive by mozzies and flies. 🦟
Big thanks to for supplying the materials, always a pleasure working with you!

From royal red to wavy white! This was a bathroom I completed a little while ago now but as you can see, the red was very outdated. This ensuite was very small so we had to use our space wisely by swapping where the shower and toilet were and widening the hallway.

Wrap around step! I had the pleasure of subcontracting for a friend out in Warren, NSW last week. The brief was to build a spotted gum deck with a wrap-around step. Pavers on crusher dust and a grapevine along the steel frame are still to come. The deck has come up an absolute treat.

First bathroom done and dusted in Inverell!
This one came up an absolute treat – the client nailed the choice of vanity and benchtop to complement that stunning feature tile.

It took a fair bit of jackhammering and floor grinding to get the falls right for the shower and to rework the waste pipes, especially with a concrete slab to deal with. But thanks to some top-notch tradies, everything ran smoothly.

Big shoutout to Pages Plumbing, Fox Electrical, and Tala’s Plastering – local legends who got stuck in and got it done. The shower shelf adds plenty of room for the essentials, the floor-to-ceiling tiles bring the wow factor, and the black tapware finishes it all off with a slick, modern look.

Thanks as well to , , and for supplying all the gear. One down – plenty more to come!

Keeping the shearers happy!
If there’s one group you don’t want to rub the wrong way, it’s shearers—they’ve got sharp gear and no time for mucking around. So this little shed makeover should keep the hand pieces humming (and the wool flying).

This old wool shed’s been standing since before the 1960s—and probably creaking along well before that. I’ve been told it once belonged to an outstation of Bugilbone Station and has seen more sheep than the Dubbo saleyards on a good day. If these walls could talk, they’d probably ask for a smoke and a cuppa.

It was well overdue for some TLC. I added two extra catching pens, so now there’s a pen for every stand—no more fighting for the smallest sheep. Turned the boards 90 degrees too, so the sheep don’t feel like they’re doing an obstacle course on the way out. A few other tweaks here and there, and she’s ready to roll for the next shearing run.

Always good to breathe a bit of new life into these old girls without losing their charm—and even better when it makes life easier for the crew on the handpiece.

Biggest renovation to date! This reno was one that I completed on my own house. The original house had an extension completed in the 1960’s but had a few faults due to the lack of technology available. The biggest fault was a leaking roof caused from a “butterfly roof” which is where the pitch of 2 rooves run towards the centre of a structure which in turn overflows in heavy rain. Fast forward to the point where the roof was repitched and I had a blank canvas inside. I built a deck, laundry, 2 bathrooms, living area and kitchen to give you an idea of how much space I had to work with. Have a look at a few of the before and after photos, most photos don’t do this place justice on how much work went into this renovation but it is my proudest job to date. A big thank you to all the tradies and labourers that did help me, without any of them, this project wouldn’t have come together.

This deck came up a treat! This old deck was originally a 130mm concrete slab with tiles on top and it took a fair bit of demolition to get rid of it. Once there was abit of moisture on the old tiles, it became an ice rink. There was also a 100 step up onto the deck from the inside of the house which was quite strange and not very practical for an elderly couple. I really enjoyed this job once the demolition was done 😅 a fair few people still run with timber decking boards but these timber composite boards are just as good with a lot less maintenance. A big thanks to for supplying all the material .nsw and also to my friend Nick for helping with the demolition. Another happy client in Forbes.
