We’re getting very close at Prospect House, with approximately 5 weeks to go until completion.

A few of the final pieces are starting to come together:

✨ The LED strip lighting to the stairs is now complete

🔌 Our sparky will be back in a few weeks to finish wiring the remaining points

🌬️ The HRV system is getting its final installation and commissioning work

🚿 Bathroom grouting is about to get underway

🪵 Flooring will bring the spaces together once laid

At this stage, it’s all about those final details that take the house from a construction site to a finished home.

Not long now. Prospect House is almost there.

🏡 It’s the details beneath your feet that make all the difference.

Before the finished floor goes down, we’re installing PIR insulation boards over the concrete slab to create a high performance thermal barrier.

This helps reduce heat transfer through the floor, making the home more energy efficient and comfortable all year round.

To accommodate the insulation and finished flooring, all door frames and openings have been set at the correct height from the beginning.

Before the PIR boards are installed, the concrete slab will be brought to a perfectly level finish, ensuring a solid foundation for everything that follows.

💨 Ever wondered how your home stays fresh without opening every window?

A Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system is designed to continuously remove stale, moisture filled air from areas like your kitchen, bathrooms and laundry, replacing it with fresh, filtered air from outside.

When you’re cooking, your rangehood captures grease, steam and cooking odours at the source, while the HRV system works in the background to help maintain balanced airflow throughout the home. Together, they help reduce excess moisture, improve indoor air quality and create a healthier, more comfortable living environment.

Less than a cup of coffee a day. And the home isn’t even finished yet.

One of the most exciting things about our Prospect House project is seeing the performance data during construction.

Even before the solar system has been installed, modelling shows the cost to run this Passive House will be less than the price of a daily coffee.

That’s the power of building smarter.

Through airtight construction, high performance insulation, quality windows and carefully considered design, this home is being built to require significantly less energy to heat and cool than a standard home.

The result will be year round comfort, improved energy efficiency and lower running costs for the owners from the day they move in.

For the owners, what started as a knock down rebuild has evolved into a future focused home that will deliver benefits for decades to come.

For the owners of our Prospect House project, their vision began with a knock down rebuild.

They loved the location, the neighbourhood, and the memories they had created there, but their existing home no longer met the needs of their family.

Rather than renovate, they chose to start fresh and create a home designed for the future.

As planning progressed, we introduced the concept of Passive House design. The result was more than just a beautiful new home. It’s becoming a healthier, more comfortable and energy efficient space that maintains a consistent temperature year round while significantly reducing energy consumption.

By combining their dream of a custom built home with the principles of Passive House construction, we were able to start building a home that not only looks incredible but will perform exceptionally well every day.
