Our project in Windsor is beginning to take shape. Framing up and moving towards lockup stage.
Erica Street - An alterations and additions project on a small site within a densely urbanised context. Our clients brief was to keep the original front period styled section of the house and restore it to its former glory, whilst removing the old extension and proposing a new double storey addition. A fine example of what is achievable on a small site and establishes a quality of space not normally afforded within this context.

Andersons Creek Road, Doncaster East
Under construction, moving toward lockup stage.

This is a pair of contemporary four-bedroom, side by side dwellings. Due to the steep site topography with falls towards the rear, the proposal incorporates basement levels which engages with landscaped external rear yard spaces. The proposed dwelling utilise simple geometric box like forms, which cantilever ground floor structures, allowing for elements to be further emphasised or recessed as part of a composition. The use of materials such as composite timber cladding as a feature within a simplistic material and colour palette allow for the facade proportions to further demonstrate the various scales affecting the building. The proposal responds well to the site proportions and topographical features and is well positioned and situated within its context.

Sheldon court
It’s under construction and taking shape! Moving toward lockup stage.

Sheldon Court, Lysterfield is a family residence proposed on a large site in a rural setting. The site topography falls down a hillside which allows the two storey dwelling to appear poised above the valley below, enjoying open views over the valley to the city from all levels. The indoor poolroom adjacent to the living areas is separated by a glass wall allowing for these areas to achieve a greater sense of integration. The interiors are focus around clean contemporary lines and glazing is used to frame off inspiring panoramic views from the various zones. External courtyards and balconies at all levels allows the occupants heightened experience with the site and the natural beauty of its contextual surroundings. The use of dark muted tones, in render and timber finishes and floor to ceiling glazing throughout enables the proposal to site comfortably within its rural setting. The façade and form concept is derived by the idea of a “static framework” which encapsulates and expresses volumes externally and appears to be continuously flowing from one element to the next. In essence, this proposal offers the clients a resort type lifestyle and a real connection to nature and its surroundings.

Park Road - Donvale

Park Road, Donvale is a large French provincial styled family residence. Our clients brief was to design something of opulence with a luxury resort ambience and preference for the classical aesthetic. The proposal utilises the site topography which falls considerably from the front to hte rear of the site, to inform the contemporary layout of the residence. From the front interface, the proposal presents as a single storey dwelling in complete contrast to the rear interface where it becomes double storey accessing a resort style tiered garden with infinity pool, engaging views to the tennis court and surrounding gardens. The sense of grandeur this proposal achieves internally and externally is a testament to Archiphor's abilities to deliver on client's ambitions architecturally, no matter the style, aesthetic or site challenges.
