🌱 Fresh Paddocks 2027 🌱

We've recently planted an extra 16,500m² of Sir Walter Buffalo! 🙌

It might just look like sporadically planted paddocks now, but there is alot of work happening behind the scenes. Over the coming months we will be busy watering, weeding & feeding, mowing, checking for pests & diseases, and giving it all of the care and attention it needs to grow into the premium turf we are proud to supply 🤌

We'll keep sharing the updates as it grows, so you can follow the journey from day one to a paddock ready for harvest early 2027 👏

🐾 A little update...

If you have been with us for a while, you will probably remember our original employee (who mostly worked for treats 😅), Diamond.

From day one, Diamond was our unofficial mascot and chief delivery supervisor. Whether she was hitching a ride on the mower, jumping on-board our deliveries to meet & greet customers or supervising around the farm to make sure everyone was doing their job properly, she was her happiest just being apart of the action - she was a huge part of our family and our business.

As many of you are asking where our cheeky mascot has been, it is with a very heavy heart that we wish to advise our customers that Diamond took her final nap last year. While we miss seeing her around the farm every day, we feel incredibly lucky that she was part of the journey from the very beginning!

The good news is, the Boxer tradition isn't going anywhere! You might spot Pandora and Safi riding sh***un on deliveries, helping out around the farm, or trying to convince us that every customer visit deserves a snack.

Thank you to everyone who ever gave Diamond a pat, a smile, or a wave. She will always be part of the Majors Earth & Turf family, and we know Pandora and Safi have some pretty big paw prints to fill 💚🐶🌱

A quick update from Majors Earth & Turf 🌱

What a wet few weeks it's been! We're all hoping the sunshine makes an appearance very soon so we can get back on top of our backlog and continue looking after all of our valued customers.

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during this wet spell—it really does mean a lot to us, and we can't wait to get back out there as soon as conditions allow. ☀️

Unfortunately, her phone decided it had had enough and completely gave up! 😅 Technology isn't always our friend. "From Spreadsheets to Sprinklers" 🌱

After an 18-year career in accounting, I have officially stepped away from the corporate life to join our farm full time 👏

While I have traded the office walls for open paddocks, deadlines for early mornings & spreadsheets to sprinklers, I am very much still the face of the office within the business, keeping everything running behind the scenes while now also being hands-on around the farm everyday 💪

What started as a side dream with Matt that we built after hours, on weekends & alongside long accounting days, has now grown into a thriving family owned business, that is thanks to not only Matt's hard work behind the scenes running it himself full time, but thanks to the support of our customers who have backed us along the way!!

Because of your support, this farm has grown into something we pour ourselves into every single day, and we couldn't be more grateful and excited for what is ahead!

More passion, more hands on deck & an even bigger vision for the future of the farm 🌱

As we close in on yet another amazing, but very weather challenging year, we wish to advise our closing dates over Christmas this year from the 20th December 2024 & re-opening on Monday 20th January 2025 as we will be out of stock until approx. end of January!!

In this time phone calls, text messages & emails will be periodically monitored between a well-deserved break & getting our paddocks up & running for another epic year of slashing your slabs 🌱

We have a waitlist already in place for those wishing to wait for our paddocks to fully grow in! First in, first out basis! If paddocks & weather permit, we will open earlier if we can harvest!

Dreaming of the days where the sun is shining, the smell of freshly mowed grass is longing & the sound of the harvester slicing your slabs is here 🌞 🌱

The 4 months of wet weather has impacted not only our farm, but all of our other neighbouring farms & businesses too! We've never seen weather like it! Raining everyday except a mere few since December!

Bring on the dry weather, we hope to be back up & running in the coming weeks 🙏
