Here's a few more detailed images of the sliding gate from my previous post. The gate has a 225mm taper at the bottom to match the pitch of the driveway. Rather than making one side of this gate far taller than the rest of the fence, we opted to make it match the staggered heights of the panels, even adding a "dummy" post in the centre.
It was my first time making a gate like this and if you can't tell I'm pretty proud of the result! 🤩

This project is one of my favourites so far! The sliding gate's split heights, the staggered panels, the boundary fence return and repurposing the existing corrugated garden edging all elevate the design. The only change I'd make is reorienting the return panels, but our customer opted for an inward face, so we accommodated their preference.
