🌱 SPRING TURF CARE 🌱

Spring is when lawns really start to wake up. With warmer days, more sunshine and active growth, now is a great time to give your turf a little extra attention after winter.

A few simple things can make a big difference:

🌿 Mow regularly
As growth picks up, keep on top of mowing — but avoid cutting the lawn too short. A slightly longer lawn helps protect the roots and retain moisture as the weather warms.

💧 Water deeply, not constantly
A good, deep water encourages stronger roots. Early morning is generally best, giving the lawn time to absorb the moisture before the heat of the day.

🌱 Feed your lawn
Spring is a great time for a quality lawn fertiliser to support fresh growth and help your turf regain its colour and thickness.

🍃 Keep an eye on compacted areas
High-traffic areas can become hard and compacted over winter. Aerating can help water, oxygen and nutrients get down into the soil where they're needed.

☀️ Prepare for the warmer months
A healthy lawn heading into late spring and summer will cope much better with heat, dry spells and everyday wear and tear.

And if your lawn is looking a little ordinary coming out of winter then don’t panic. Turf can change dramatically once the soil warms up and active spring growth kicks in.

A little care now goes a long way towards a lush, healthy lawn for summer!

A beautiful Elwood backyard with a whole lot packed into it!

This project was all about creating a warm, inviting outdoor space that feels like a natural extension of the home. The transformation included extensive excavation and preparation, new paving and drainage, recycled red brick garden walls and edging, custom timber bench seating, fencing, irrigation, fresh turf and beautiful edible softscaping.

One of our favourite features is the combination of recycled brick and natural timber, which brings so much warmth and character to the space while softening the more contemporary elements of the home.

Raised veggie beds, lush planting and built-in seating have created a garden that feels established, relaxed and genuinely lived in but is still practical for everyday family life.

A garden made to be used, enjoyed and grow with the family.
