Can improving your soil really look this good?
Yes, it can🌸
This garden started with sandy, silty soil over a heavy clay base. Drainage was slow, and the soil was compacted.
We aerated, added rock minerals and Seamungus, then watered to activate the microbes.
We added compost-based soil, planted a few clay-improving Lomandra, Plectranthus cuttings and sprinkled Paper Daisy seeds, then watered it all with our Microbial Tea Blend.
When you add organic matter and biology to ‘troubled’ soil, something happens that you just won’t achieve with gypsum…
As the roots grow, they push through the soil, creating channels and releasing compounds that feed the life in the soil. Organic matter is broken down with the help of microbes and worms, and gradually the clay starts to develop better structure, allowing better drainage and necessary air pockets.
But enough of all that… what do you get?
Stunning flowers, healthy soil and the chance to plant a diverse range of interesting, beneficial and beautiful plants.
