⏱️ Roof FAQ | How long does a roof replacement take?
The short answer? Most standard homes take 2–4 days, with a typical 3 bedroom home often completed in as little as 2 days.
Every roof is differentand your timeline can vary depending on:
🏠 Roof size
🏗️ Site access
🌦️ Weather conditions
📐 Roof complexity (multiple levels, steep pitches, intricate roof lines, skylights and more)
One question we’re often asked is whether you’ll need to move out while the work is underway. The answer is no—you can remain in your home throughout the replacement.
It is worth noting that roofing is a noisy job, so if you work from home or have young children who sleep during the day, it’s something to plan for.
With SEQLD’s unpredictable weather, protecting your home is always our priority. We only remove small sections of the roof at a time, ensuring your home remains weatherproof throughout the installation. At the end of every day, we leave the roof watertight and the site clean before we head home.
Replacing your roof is a big investment, and we believe knowing what to expect makes the process much easier.
