At CMBM, we know that great people build great businesses, and this month in August we're proud to celebrate two remarkable team members who have each dedicated more than 14 years of service to our company.

Charmaine (Char) is often the first voice our clients, staff and suppliers hear when they contact CMBM. While her title may be Helpdesk Coordinator, anyone who knows Charmaine understands that she does so much more. From supporting our teams across the business to helping solve problems and keeping things running smoothly, she is an integral part of the CMBM family and a familiar, friendly face to so many.

Sonia, our Finance Manager, has been instrumental in supporting CMBM's growth and success over the years. Her expertise, dedication and leadership have helped build the strong financial foundations that support our operations across Australia.

Together, Char and Sonia have contributed more than three decades of knowledge, commitment, and loyalty to CMBM.

Another project was successfully completed by the CMBM Projects team!

Our project team recently completed a retail make-good project at the Lifeline Geebung store, preparing the tenancy for a smooth handover to the property owner at the end of the lease.

From preparing the space and completing the required works through to the final clean-up, our team worked efficiently to ensure the site was ready for handover and returned in great condition.

We’re proud to recognise Mat Songoro and Paul Hensley as our latest CMBM Stars!

Their recognition comes after they went above and beyond to help a young man who was being harassed in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast.

When the situation escalated, Mat and Paul acted quickly to help keep him safe. Paul stayed with the young man while Mat assisted police in locating the person involved. Their calm response, teamwork and willingness to step up were recognised and praised by police.

But what makes this moment especially meaningful is that Mat and Paul didn’t hesitate to help. They saw someone in need and did what they could to help him.

That’s exactly what our CMBM Star is about - recognising team members who demonstrate the values we stand for, both on and off the job.

Over the weekend, the CMBM team took on the True Grit Obstacle Courses 5km Mud Run, what a way to build team spirit!

From crawling through mud and tackling challenging obstacles to pushing each other over the finish line, our team completed the course together.

True Grit is more than just a physical challenge. It’s about teamwork, trust, communication and encouraging each other when things get tough.

There were plenty of laughs, a lot of mud, a few sore muscles… and plenty of moments we’ll be talking about for a while!

That’s how we do team bonding at CMBM — challenge ourselves, support each other and have a bit of fun along the way.
