When you need to add more piers lower the floor height overall to be able to match into the existing 100 year old floor levels with new flooring. Flooring come up great and a couple of new built in cupboards that they required. If the original boards were to be sanded back they would match in exactly the same as we sanded a row back and virtually exact same colour. Floor is now solid with no bounce and is all one level.
