DISASTER HARDSHIP ASSISTANCE: Flood-impacted residents in targeted parts of Bundaberg can now access disaster assistance.

๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ โ $180 per person, up to $900 for a family of five or more to purchase immediate essentials like food, clothing and medicine.
๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ โ $150 per person, up to $750 for a family of five or more to assist with immediate needs following the loss of essential services at home for more than five consecutive days.
๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ โ income-tested assistance for uninsured residents, up to $1,765 for individuals and up to $5,300 for couples or families to replace destroyed essential household contents such as bed linen and whitegoods.
๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ โ up to $80,000 for uninsured, income-tested owner-occupiers towards the repair or replacement of a disaster damaged dwelling to return it to a safe and habitable condition.
๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ โ income-tested grants to help uninsured residents reconnect damaged services like electricity, gas, water or sewerage. Up to $5,000 per household.
Additionally, flood-impacted not-for-profits in Bundaberg can apply for disaster loans of up to $100,000 via www.qrida.qld.gov.au or by calling 1800 623 946.
DRFA assistance has also been made available to the local governments of Bundaberg.
