🎉 Celebrating 15 Years at Pulse Electrical! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Ashleigh Paitomaleifi and Sam Roper, who have both reached an incredible 15 years of service with Pulse Electrical.

Ash does an amazing job as our Finance Manager, and Sam started as an apprentice with Pulse all those years ago and has worked his way through to become our Service Supervisor in SEQ.

Over the years, we’ve ridden plenty of ups and downs together, worked through big changes and shared a lot of growth. They’ve both played a big part in shaping Pulse into what it is today.

We’re very grateful for the loyalty, hard work and commitment you’ve both shown over such a long time. Fifteen years is a massive milestone, and we’re very lucky to have had you both along for so much of the Pulse journey 💛

What a great day out for our annual Golf Day with the Bundy crew! ⛳️

This year's dress-up theme was Movies, and the costumes definitely didn't disappoint.

Congratulations to Morgan, Abbey, Angus and Josh, who took out Best Dressed with their AI G costume.. hard to argue with that one.

And a big congratulations to Jane for taking out Closest to the Pin too (Jane also won longest drive last year just quietly)

Happy birthday to the one and only Trudy Scott 🎉

No one does it quite like Trudy!! A true force behind everything we do. Up at 4am, she’s usually done half a day’s work before most have had their first coffee 🤣 She keeps us on our toes, pushes us to achieve our potential, and always makes sure things are done properly.

If you’ve worked at Pulse for more than 5 minutes, Trudy’s definitely told you to tuck your shirt in, comb your hair and stand up straight… and it’s that commitment to doing the little things with excellence that’s had such a positive influence on what Pulse is today.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

If your property has been affected by recent flood waters, an electrical make safe inspection is essential before power can be safely reconnected by Ergon.

Flood water can cause serious damage to switchboards, wiring, outlets and appliances, so it’s really important everything is properly checked and made safe by a licensed electrician before Ergon restores power to the property.

Our team is currently on the ground across the region carrying out these make safe inspections to help our community get homes and businesses safely powered back up.

𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 – $180 per person, up to $900 for a family of five or more to purchase immediate essentials like food, clothing and medicine.

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 – $150 per person, up to $750 for a family of five or more to assist with immediate needs following the loss of essential services at home for more than five consecutive days.

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 – income-tested assistance for uninsured residents, up to $1,765 for individuals and up to $5,300 for couples or families to replace destroyed essential household contents such as bed linen and whitegoods.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 – up to $80,000 for uninsured, income-tested owner-occupiers towards the repair or replacement of a disaster damaged dwelling to return it to a safe and habitable condition.

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 – income-tested grants to help uninsured residents reconnect damaged services like electricity, gas, water or sewerage. Up to $5,000 per household.

Additionally, flood-impacted not-for-profits in Bundaberg can apply for disaster loans of up to $100,000 via www.qrida.qld.gov.au or by calling 1800 623 946.

DRFA assistance has also been made available to the local governments of Bundaberg.

A flashback to the 2010 Bundaberg floods.

For many in our community, this photo brings back some pretty heavy memories.

We know firsthand what it’s like when the water comes up. The uncertainty as it rises, the devastation when it finally recedes, the loss of personal belongings, and the long days and weeks of cleanup afterwards. The mud, the mess, the damaged homes, and the feeling of having to start again. It was a really tough time for so many families across the region.

Our team experienced it ourselves, and if we knew then what we know now, we would have prepared much better.

We’re hoping that this event won’t be as devastating, but it’s a reminder of how quickly things can change. There has been great preparation across the region, regular updates being shared, and we really appreciate the work the Bundaberg Regional Council and emergency services are doing to keep the community informed.

At the same time, hopefully this photo is a reminder to take the situation seriously and prepare where you can. A little preparation now can prevent a lot of damage later.

Water and electricity are a dangerous combination, and any electrical systems affected by floodwater should always be checked by a licensed electrician before being turned back on.
