Happy birthday to the one and only Trudy Scott ๐ŸŽ‰

No one does it quite like Trudy!! A true force behind everything we do. Up at 4am, sheโ€™s usually done half a dayโ€™s work before most have had their first coffee ๐Ÿคฃ She keeps us on our toes, pushes us to achieve our potential, and always makes sure things are done properly.

If youโ€™ve worked at Pulse for more than 5 minutes, Trudyโ€™s definitely told you to tuck your shirt in, comb your hair and stand up straightโ€ฆ and itโ€™s that commitment to doing the little things with excellence thatโ€™s had such a positive influence on what Pulse is today.

Hope it was a great day Trudes ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿšจ IMPORTANT UPDATE ๐Ÿšจ

If your property has been affected by recent flood waters, an electrical make safe inspection is essential before power can be safely reconnected by Ergon.

Flood water can cause serious damage to switchboards, wiring, outlets and appliances, so itโ€™s really important everything is properly checked and made safe by a licensed electrician before Ergon restores power to the property.

Our team is currently on the ground across the region carrying out these make safe inspections to help our community get homes and businesses safely powered back up.

If you see a Pulse Electrical vehicle working in your street, feel free to contact our office as we may be able to assist while our team is already in the area.

We know this has been a tough time for many families and businesses across the region. Like so many other local businesses, weโ€™ll be doing everything we can to help the community get back on its feet.

A flashback to the 2010 Bundaberg floods.

For many in our community, this photo brings back some pretty heavy memories.

We know firsthand what itโ€™s like when the water comes up. The uncertainty as it rises, the devastation when it finally recedes, the loss of personal belongings, and the long days and weeks of cleanup afterwards. The mud, the mess, the damaged homes, and the feeling of having to start again. It was a really tough time for so many families across the region.

Our team experienced it ourselves, and if we knew then what we know now, we would have prepared much better.

Weโ€™re hoping that this event wonโ€™t be as devastating, but itโ€™s a reminder of how quickly things can change. There has been great preparation across the region, regular updates being shared, and we really appreciate the work the Bundaberg Regional Council and emergency services are doing to keep the community informed.

At the same time, hopefully this photo is a reminder to take the situation seriously and prepare where you can. A little preparation now can prevent a lot of damage later.

Water and electricity are a dangerous combination, and any electrical systems affected by floodwater should always be checked by a licensed electrician before being turned back on.

Along with so many other great local businesses, we will be working our hardest to help the community recover and get back on its feet. Our team at Pulse Electrical is here to help and available 24/7.

Residents can access flood gauge mapping to know their flood risk on the Bundaberg Regional Council Disaster Dashboard at disaster.bundaberg.qld.gov.au.

Councilโ€™s alternate flood mapping system is experiencing significant delays due to high traffic.

Residents can learn more about their flood risk by heading direct to disaster.bundaberg.qld.gov.au and accessing the map on the page.

On the right-hand side of the interactive map there is a series of mapping options to select.

By unselecting all options except for Bundaberg RC FE 7_50m residents can view the flood mapping for the current estimated flood levels.

Residents are urged to understand their flood risk and make an evacuation plan.

IMPORTANT UPDATE โšก๏ธ

With the Burnett River rising and flooding predicted across parts of the region, we wanted to share a few simple electrical safety tips to help locals prepare.

Turning off power at the switchboard if water is approaching, moving appliances off the floor, and unplugging non-essential items can all help reduce electrical risk during flooding.

If floodwater does enter your home, never turn the power back on until your electrical system has been checked by a licensed electrician.

Itโ€™s National Apprenticeship Week and weโ€™ve got plenty to celebrate! At Pulse Electrical, weโ€™ve got 35 apprentices currently learning their trade across electrical and refrigeration. Thatโ€™s 35 future tradies turning up each day, putting in the work, and building real skills that will carry them for life.

Apprenticeships are not just about ticking boxes. They are about learning how to think, how to problem solve, how to work safely, and how to take pride in doing a job properly. It takes commitment, resilience, and a good attitude.

Weโ€™ve got so many quality apprentices across Brisbane and Bundy, and this week feels like a good time to recognise our 2025 Apprentices of the Year.. Scott Campbell and Scott Hobill. ๐Ÿ†

Well done everyone!
