Lifting out the top section of the Norfolk Island Pine.
We had this large Norfolk Island pine to remove and a palm tree just before Xmas, unfortunately the tree had gotten too large for where it was positioned in the garden so the decision was made to remove the tree and grind out the stump. A crane was bought in to remove the tree as safely and efficiently as possible.
Margaret river Blue gum job. Marc lowering for Will.
Margaret River Blue gum job. Will lowering for Dave!
Finished this job removing 5 large blue gums last week near Margaret River. The trees were getting too large and were close to power lines. The wood chips stayed on site for the client to use around the property and the wood was used for firewood.
This peppermint tree was struck by lightening and was dying so unfortunately it had to be removed.
Chipping some branches on a job in Dunsborough.
Felled this large dead marri a few weeks back, the log was cut up and split for firewood for the client.
This large tree wasn’t in the best of health and due to the close proximity to property the client wanted it removed.

Will rigging out a piece.
Removed some larger trees due to proximity to property down in Metricup last month. Tree were rigged down to avoid any damage to gardens and property. Wood was cut for firewood and mulch for garden beds.
It’s been a busy couple of months here at Taff’s Trees and everything is ticking along nicely. We have had some really great jobs for some awesome clients. I’d like to personally thank all of our staff, clients, friends and family and everyone who’s contributed to Taff’s Trees. You’re all legends and thank you for the support. David. 🤙
Completed this 3 day job in Dunsborough last week including a fairly large marri tree that unfortunately was too big for the garden as well as plenty of pruning and deadwooding. Another really fun job for great clients.
Toby deadwooding a large Marri tree in Busselton a couple of weeks ago. Great job.
Marc putting the log splitter to good use on site last week.
Some basic zip lining on a peppermint removal a couple of weeks back.
It doesn’t always go smoothly but the boys sorted it out pretty easily! Great ground work from Marc Jonny and Toby on this one.
This Marri tree had to be removed due to extensive damage to the root system and the proximity to the building. All logs were cut for firewood and the mulch will be spread around the garden. Good fun climb. 🤙
Unfortunately this beautiful Jarrah tree was dying so the decision was made to remove the tree as it was fairly large and in a frequently used part of the clients garden. All branches were rigged down with ropes and pulleys as not to damage the garden below. The larger sections of wood were cut for firewood and the mulch was also left on site.
We spent a day doing some pruning and weight reducing of some larger trees at Next Level Monkey Business in Dunsborough a few weeks back. Consistent pruning and removing deadwood is the perfect way to keep your trees healthy and flourishing and keeping everyone below safe. Head along with the family for a fun day out and experience what it’s like to be amongst the trees!
We completed this reduction on a nice Eucalyptus tree that was getting a bit large for where it was. The canopy was carefully rigged down as not to damage the pruning points below.
Few random pictures from the last few weeks.
Spotted gum fall. By using a Ute or winch off the chipper we can get the force required to pull over a tree safely and in the direction we want. We ensure the rope is long enough so when the tree comes over the vehicle doesn’t get flattened!!
This spotted gum had a large split in it and one side of it was leaning into another tree. We rigged the tree up with ropes and pulleys and pulled the two limbs together which enabled us to safely fall the tree into the paddock. The trunk was cut up for firewood.
This was a storm damage clean up recently, a large eucalyptus tree had fallen and was hung up in another tree. We pieced the tree down safely, chipped it up and left the wood chips on site for the client to use around the property. Tree maintenance is important to try and limit the chance of storm damage to your trees. By weight reducing large heavy limbs, dead wooding and crown thinning the canopy we can improve the chances of your tree standing tall and healthy.
If anyone needs logs cut into firewood please get in touch, our hydraulic splitter makes short work of the hardest of woods.
This heavily cankered marri tree was removed in Busselton a few weeks back. Everything was chipped and wood chips were left on site for the client to spread around their gardens.
It’s been a busy couple of months at Taff’s Trees, here we are removing a peppermint tree that had a large split in it as well as some pruning around the property. We rigged the tree down using ropes and pulleys as not to damage the garden below.
