Custom Steel Frames has been proudly operating in Dubbo for more than 40 years!

Building somewhere that isn't exactly around the corner?

Getting materials to a remote site can create its own set of challenges — which is why we can supply steel frames in flat-pack form.

Flat-pack framing can make transport and handling more practical for remote or difficult-to-access sites, while still giving you a purpose-designed framing system.

And because the components are manufactured by us in Dubbo, the frame isn't simply a generic kit pulled off a shelf.

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT CAN SAVE TIME ON SITE.

A steel frame isn't just a collection of studs and top plates.

We can incorporate details into the frame design that help make installation and finishing easier.

For example:

🔹 Service holes
🔹 Welded bracing
🔹 Double-stud junctions
🔹 Trussed heads over openings
🔹 Bath recesses for flush fitting
🔹 Numbering to match assembly plans
🔹 Stiffened top plates for load-bearing walls

Those details might not look exciting on a finished house...

…but they're pretty handy when you're standing on site trying to put everything together.

Custom Steel Frames proudly supplied the complete structural steel framing package, including steel piers, floor systems, wall frames, and roof beams—all manufactured using our environmentally responsible SSA accredited steel.

It's rewarding to contribute to projects that showcase quality, innovation, and sustainable building practices. Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering this outstanding achievement.

Eungai Creek Campus is a values-led educational environment in which architecture, landscape and curriculum are inseparable. Designed by AJC Architects with First Nations knowledge holders as central partners, the campus embeds Ngambaa meaning, prospect and refuge theory, and the Circle of Security model into a village layout that rejects the conventional classroom as the default educational setting.

Material commitments, including compressed straw panels, a carbon positive palette and a kit of parts construction system, demonstrate that regenerative ambition and cost efficiency can coexist. The spatial sequence from arrival through tents, cabins and community service is not incidental; it is the curriculum. The result is a project of rare clarity and conviction, in which every decision serves the adolescent development program it was designed to support.
