Practical Completion achieved for the Foster Street upgrade project at Lake Cargelligo jointly funded by Lachlan Shire Council, State and Federal Governments. It was a pleasure completing this project for the community and a great community to complete a challenging project with, as there were disruptions to day-to-day life but the end result was well worth it. This project has been in the works for 5 plus years for Lachlan Shire and the community and is rewarding to be a part of significant change in the town of Lake Cargelligo. Just in time for the Festival of the Lakes 2023 event this October Long Weekend.
Works completed under this project include; in-ground services, earthworks and road stabilisation, asphalt, kerb and gutter, concrete footpaths, roundabout, islands and refuge, landscape paving and further beautification. Nearly 25% of contractors employed on the project were from the local area too, which is a great accomplishment for a complex project by the team.
