North Street wasn’t shy on colour… and we’re here for it.

From the front door, to the cushions, the laundry splashback and even the outdoor table, the touches of pink throughout this home just work.

It brings a softer, feminine edge to the project while still feeling bold, fun and completely fitting for the space and the clients who brought it to life.

And honestly… we love it.

But don’t worry, Chris made sure there was one space where the pink didn’t make the cut. 😉

It’s one thing to build a home, it’s another to create an experience people walk away happy with.

North Street was a special one, and having clients like Chris and Caitlin trust us with their vision made it even better.

Here’s what Chris had to say about the experience from start to finish.

We don’t take feedback like this lightly, and being invited back for a drink in the finished upstairs bar says more than anything we could.

Sorell St Reno - Demo well underway 💪🏼

This one started with a failed concrete slab deck that had seen better days. Before we can build it back better, it all has to come out… and there’s a fair bit involved in that.

Step by step on this one:

• Roof removed
• Slab secured underneath with acroprops
• Crane brought in
• Deck cut and removed in sections
• Full clean up
• Site prepped and ready for the rebuild

Demolition isn’t just “rip it out and go again” - it takes planning, the right gear and doing things safely to avoid bigger issues down the track.

Next up - new steel frame, timber deck and staircase going in 🙌🏼

Looking forward to bringing this one back to life. 💪🏼

A week ago the boys headed down to Redbanks for a team day… and safe to say it delivered.

Archery, axe throwing, slingshot, golf alley, air rifle, .22 range and clay target shooting, followed by a solid lunch. Not a bad way to spend a day.

Even better, one of our recent clients caught wind of it and decided he was coming along too. We’re not complaining, we love being able to build relationships that go beyond the job and turn into genuine friendships.

Redbanks has been around for 25 years and is about 45 minutes out of Hobart. If you’re after something a bit outside the box, it’s well worth the trip.

Big thanks to Redbanks for having us, we had a ton of fun.

Also worth noting… the boss made sure to get a photo of his top score.
No one else’s though. Apparently they didn’t exist… funny that. 😏

That’s a wrap for the year, Strong Constructions is officially closed.
We’ll be back in the office and on the tools from 12th January.

We want to say a huge thank you to our clients for trusting us with your homes and your ideas. Getting to build unique, outside-the-box projects is something we never take for granted.

To everyone who follows along, supports us, comments, shares and engages with our work, it truly means a lot and never goes unnoticed.

A massive thank you to our team, from the boys on site to Emily in the office. Every single person plays a vital role in keeping things running smoothly and delivering the quality work we’re proud to put our name on.
And to our subcontractors and suppliers who show up, bring the same standards and help make these builds possible, we couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to some exciting projects ahead in 2026.

Every business has a turning point - and for Strong Constructions, ours happened in 2019, on a quiet block in Somerset.

We took on an off-grid timber escape that pushed us creatively, technically, and mentally… in the best possible way.
It wasn’t just a build - it was the moment we realised exactly what we wanted to specialise in: unique homes, outside-the-box ideas, and projects that challenge the ordinary.

That little off-grid home went on to become a major milestone for us.
We won the Master Builders Tasmania Award for Dwelling Construction $200k–$350k, and then went on to take out the National Contract Home – under $350,000 at the Master Builders National Awards.

The judges described it as:

“An off-grid timber escape where precise repetition of detail shines. Strong Constructions seamlessly integrated sustainability, low-impact design, and high-quality craftsmanship - all within a limited budget. A commendable outcome in every sense.”

For Adam, that build was the moment everything clicked - where years of hard work, long days, and constant learning suddenly came together.
It was the project that confirmed our direction:

We don’t build ordinary homes.
We build the ones that stand out,
the ones that push boundaries,
the ones that genuinely reflect the people who live in them.

And we’ve never looked back. 💪
