Be Safe, Be OK! Mental Health Breakfast💚
This morning, we were proud to bring our Be Safe, Be OK! initiative to life with a Mental Health Breakfast, partnering with Nubco to hear Steven Baker’s GRIT Story.
Steven shared an honest and powerful insight into his experiences with adversity, depression, grief and the challenges life can throw our way, along with the strategies he has developed to work through them. His story offered a unique perspective not only as a professional athlete, but as someone willing to speak openly about strength, vulnerability and the importance of asking for support.
A huge thank you to Steven for sharing his story and reinforcing an important message: mental health matters, both in the workplace and well beyond it.
We were incredibly pleased to have more than half of OKG’s 100+ strong workforce attend this morning’s breakfast, demonstrating the value our people place on supporting one another and continuing to build a safer, stronger workplace culture.
A massive thank you to Nubco for partnering with us and supporting the morning, and to the Devonport Football Club for providing the venue to host such an important event.
At OKG, safety is about more than what happens on site. It’s about looking after our people, starting conversations and creating a workplace where everyone feels supported.
Be Safe. Be OK. 💚
