With the upcoming Master Builders Tasmania awards, we thought it was a great opportunity to reflect on one of our most proud and award-winning projects, the Henderson Dam Upgrade.

Located on Flinders Island, the project involved the construction of a new spillway structure, with all concrete elements formed and poured in-situ. Despite significant access constraints and challenging weather conditions, Oliver Kelly Group successfully delivered this complex project through careful planning, innovative logistics, and resilient ex*****on.

Recognised at both state and national level with award honours, the Henderson Dam Upgrade has played an important role in improving the long-term reliability of drinking water for Flinders Island residents.

With our Franklin civil package nearing completion and the project now ready for our tank construction team to commence, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on the impressive body of work completed to reach this stage✅

Faced with a number of challenges along the way, the Franklin site team has done a tremendous job minimising impacts to programme while maintaining a strong focus on safety for both the client and site personnel 💚

Last week our team completed the major milestone of the slab pour for the Nubco Devonport project 🌇

Our site crew delivered a terrific effort with a fast turnaround to complete all slab preparation works, ensuring the pour was ready to proceed efficiently and safely.

With over 250m³ of concrete poured across 1,540m², the result is a true testament to the capabilities, coordination, and commitment of both our team and subcontractors.

Works continue to progress at the Selfs Point Sewerage Treatment Plant✅

With our team successfully completing the first floor pour of our sludge handling building, alongside installation of the 1100mm diameter effluent line, including all associated valves and fittings 🛠️

Working alongside some of the Nations most influential and big-name players in construction to deliver one of Tasmania’s largest infrastructure projects, our key involvement has helped shape these major upgrades for the Hobart region.
