Long Beach is now even more of a crowd magnet than ever with the latest upgrades to the playground space now complete! With a new inclusive activity play zone and separate swing area this park is an exceptional space for the Sandy Bay and wider Hobart community to enjoy.

🚧 City Park Play Space Upgrade - Works Commencing Tomorrow 🚧

Exciting news! Construction on the City Park Play Space Upgrade will commence tomorrow, 9 July 2026.

The upgraded play space will offer new and engaging play experiences for children of all ages and abilities, creating a space for adventure, exploration and connection.

Earlier this year, the much-loved Hutch train was relocated to the Don River Railway, where it will be preserved and enjoyed by future generations.

The play space will be closed while construction is underway and is expected to reopen in early 2027.

Handover for stage 02 of this incredible outdoor playspace and learning area at the Corpus Christie School in Bellerive for Catholic Education Tasmania.
