This is an incredibly difficult post to write as we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our much loved colleague, Kim Borgers.

Kim joined Airducter in September 2012 and was a valued part of our team for 14 years, working as our Maintenance Support Officer at our Royal Darwin Hospital site. She was deeply dedicated to her role and took great pride in her work. Over those years, she became much more than a colleague, and her loss is deeply felt by those who worked alongside her.

Our connection with her family stretches back even further. Her daughter, Jodi, worked with us from 2004 to 2018, and her son is also part of our wider Airducter community as one of our subcontractors.

We are grateful for the years we shared with Kim, her contribution to Airducter, and the friendships formed along the way. She has left a lasting mark on our team and will always be remembered with warmth and affection.

Our heartfelt condolences go to her husband, Ronny, her children, Jodi, Dan and Stretch, and all her family, friends and everyone who knew and loved her.

Rest peacefully Kim. You will be dearly missed. πŸ•ŠοΈ

We had a very special visitor at Airducter earlier this week! πŸ₯°

Our Accounts Officer popped in while on maternity leave to introduce us to her beautiful baby girl, Evelyn. It was lovely to catch up with them both and meet the newest little member of the Airducter family. πŸ’™

πŸ•Š Airducter is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Dickman.

Over the years, many of our hospital crew came to know him well through our work at the hospital, and he was always a familiar and much liked part of the place. News of his passing has been felt very personally by our team.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends, and colleagues. We are thinking of you all at this very sad time, and we hope you find some comfort in knowing how well regarded he was by those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

He will be very sadly missed.

This week, Airducter was proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week by hosting breakfast BBQs at both our Head Office and our Royal Darwin Hospital site.

It was a great opportunity for our teams to come together, share a meal and recognise this year's NAIDOC Week celebrations, while acknowledging the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning such a success.

I’m pleased to share that Jimmy has been recognised with the monthly Safety Award by our client, Sitzler, on the State Square Art Gallery Project. πŸ‘πŸ†

It's always rewarding to see our team recognised for consistently demonstrating safe work practices and a strong commitment to looking out for one another.

Congratulations Jimmy on this well-deserved achievement. Your dedication to maintaining a safe workplace is something to be proud of, and it's a great reflection of the values we uphold at Airducter.

A big thank you to Sitzler for recognising the efforts of our team. We look forward to continuing to deliver quality work while keeping safety our number one priority.

At Airducter, we're proud to support the next generation of tradespeople by providing meaningful work experience opportunities.

This week, we welcomed Isabella, a Certificate II in Engineering student, for her vocational work placement with our fabrication team.

Throughout the week, Isabella gained valuable hands-on experience in our workshop, learning about sheet metal fabrication, workshop safety, engineering processes, and the skills required to manufacture quality products. Under the guidance of our experienced team, she had the opportunity to observe and participate in a range of practical tasks, helping her develop industry knowledge and confidence in a real workplace environment.

It's great to see young people taking an interest in engineering and the trades, and we're pleased to play a small role in helping students explore future career pathways.

A big thank you to our workshop team for sharing their knowledge and mentoring the next generation.

We wish Isabella all the best with her studies and future engineering trade.

A blast from the past!

We recently welcomed back Dave Donaldson, who dropped in to visit nearly 19 years after finishing up at Airducter.

It was great to catch up, share a few stories, and see just how much has changed since Dave was part of the team. Thankfully, some things haven't changed β€” good people and plenty of laughs.

One of the things we're most proud of at Airducter is the relationships built along the way. Seeing former team members return years later is a reminder that those connections often last well beyond their time with the company.

Thanks for stopping by, Dave. It was great to see you again and share a few memories. πŸ˜„
