🥵 TOO HOT IN THE KITCHEN? WE’VE GOT A COOLER SOLUTION. ❄️

This client was finding the kitchen a little too warm, but didn’t want an air conditioner installed directly in the kitchen. With all the cooking, grease and oil can quickly build up and block a unit.

So, during the quoting process, we sketched out a few ideas and found a much better solution — installing the indoor unit on the wall opposite the cooking area. This gives the cool air a better path through the kitchen without putting the aircon directly in the line of fire.

We also:
🔹 Insulated the drain line inside
🔹 Installed capping to neatly conceal the pipework
🔹 Added concrete pavers beneath the outdoor unit to prevent green growth
🔹 Mounted the outdoor unit on plastic feet, lifting it off the pavers to help prevent rust from condensation and improve the longevity of the system

It’s often the little details that make a big difference. A good aircon installation isn’t just about putting a unit on the wall — it’s about finding the right location and setting the system up to perform well for years to come.

🚧 A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE EVERYDAY!

It’s always good to mix things up a little, and this install definitely gave the team a different perspective! 😎

We recently completed a 2 x 3.5kW Daikin split system changeover, with one small catch — they were being installed on the 3rd floor! 🏢

That meant a little elevation was required, but the Coolit NT team got it done and the new systems are in and ready to keep things comfortable. 💨❄️

🎄⛳ Christmas in July at Coolit NT! 🎅🏌️‍♂️

When you spend the lead-up to Christmas battling the Build-Up heat and the Wet Season rush, installing air conditioners and keeping the Top End cool… sometimes Christmas celebrations have to wait a few months or get in early!

So we swapped the work boots for golf clubs (with some questionable results 😂) and hit the course for a Christmas in July celebration with the team.

We’re not quite sure who won, and we’re even less sure how many golf balls actually made it where they were supposed to go… but the laughs, friendly competition and good times were definitely a hole-in-one. ⛳

A great chance to step away from the tools, enjoy some time together and celebrate the awesome team behind Coolit NT.

The Air Force has their toys... we've got ours! 😎

With Pitch Black lighting up the skies, we were busy putting our own piece of equipment to work. While the F-35s did their thing, our 12-metre EWP was reaching new heights to replace a GREE living room split system on the third level.

🚨 Sunday emergency? No problem! 🚨

When these legends Ridin’ 4 Mates IV Tropics to the Bush called needing their cool room up and running before a month-long cycling adventure from the NT to SA and across to NSW, we got straight to work.

The old condensing unit had seen better days, with rust and corrosion throughout. We sourced and installed a replacement, fitted laser-cut metal flooring to replace the rotting timber, and swapped out a faulty controller.

Now the cool room is tough, reliable, and ready to keep food and drinks cold for the long journey ahead. 💪❄️
