STONEVILLE SWIMPOND COMPLETE

It’s been a big week and it’s now all finished and ready for swimming! 🏊 🏊‍♂️ 🏊‍♀️

Fully full, planted, fenced and looking absolutely STUNNING 🤩 💚💦🌱

This swimming pond has an easy access beach entry which is also a great place to paddle and play.

It also has a beautiful multiple drop waterfall stream that looks great from alfresco area too.

The sounds and sight of the water movement in the falls is just so tranquil.

And it will be fabulous in the evening too with low voltage LED lights transforming the swimming pond natural pool into its after dark persona 💡💦

Mike, Toby, Oskar drove this swimming pond project and our newest addition to the team Luke, got to learn and help out a bit here too through the finishing stages.

Can’t wait to watch this one develop over time as the owners landscape around it and through the adjoining large garden areas too.

SWIMPOND OPEN GARDEN NEXT MONTH

Next month the garden of our first swimming pond in Darlington will be open as part of the Open Gardens WA program as one of five fantastic Darlington gardens and the Darlington Community Garden WA open for the day.

It will be a great mid-Spring Sunday 11th October of Darlington garden splendour and you don’t want to miss it!

Tony from Think Green will be doing some short talks about swimming pond too at 11am, 1pm and 3pm at the Mofflin Ave garden - the location of our very first swimming pond, so come along and say Hello 👋 He’ll be there most of the day too to answer all your questions about ponds and natural pool swimming ponds.

Some of you may even have seen this swimming pond on Gardening Australia earlier this year. It’s even better in person!

And the owners garden is amazing too.

Lined with well established shady deciduous trees, a beautiful productive garden and chicken run with sweeping lawns and lovely stone walls and steps everywhere you look.

POND MAINTENANCE

We love looking after the ponds that we’ve built with annual filter servicing and even more regular service calls.

This week we did the annual wetland filter backwash for a pool to pond conversion in Kalamunda and visited our Jane Brook swimming pond to replace water treatments dosing bag and treat with Aquascape Clear for Ponds as it’s built up a bit of string algae over the winter.

We’re also providing a weekly holiday maintenance service for one of our swimpond clients emptying and cleaning the skimmer basket, checking pumps, and doing some general maintenance and water treatments for about an hour each week while they enjoy their holiday. If you’re planning a holiday yourself and have a Think Green pond you’d like is to look after while you’re away please get in touch and we’ll make the arrangements.

Or even if you have Think Green pond and you’d just like a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly pond maintenance visit to take some of maintenance pressure off your shoulders please let us know. We’re just gearing up now to provide scheduled regular servicing.

And if you have a pond that’s not one that we’ve built but you’re looking for a regular service then we’ve got plans to be able to help you soon too!

STONEVILLE SWIMPOND

This swimming pond is very much nearing completion now!

The wetland filter pond is complete and water is flowing through the falls 💦💦💦

And we started to install fence posts this afternoon too! We’ll be continuing to install the timber framed pool fencing early next week then onto water planting and filling her up!

The owner is making his mark too building a custom top for the skimmer & pump pit box 🔨 🪵

It’s getting real exciting now!

STONEVILLE SWIMPOND PROGRESS

The guys are still making great progress on our latest swimming pond in Stoneville in the Perth Hills.

The guys have found some great tree trunks and stumps on the owners property to incorporate into the swimpond too - We love including some homegrown touches like that.

The pond is now fully rocked, we have a BEACH 🏝️ and the wetland filter pond has been under construction today too.

A little more finishing to go on the swimming pond then we’ll be onto the pool fencing.

The new owners should be able to be swimming here by late next week!

Though the weather might still be a little chilly for that…. 🥶 🏊🐠

PONDEMONIUM 💦🪨🌱🐠🇺🇸

YES! There is a biannual conference for Aquascape pond builders and that’s where I’ve spent the last week in St Charles Illinois - Home of Aquascape Inc and Aqualand.

Learning even more about Aquascape system, new products and most of all learning from each other in all these these pond businesses of ours.

Pondemonium 2026 was host to over 600 Aquascape businesses.

Businesses at all levels. New first timers to large pond business owners with over 30 staff and thousands of pond owning clients.

In the Top Frogs top 100 list, Think Green ranked 44th in the world for Aquascape product purchases/sales in 2025 and was the highest ranked from Australia.

Always so much to learn to learn from each others business experiences.

The big focus and learnings from this year for me are about building up the maintenance part of Think Green. To provide a more consistent and simply better service experience after the build.

Whether that’s a more regular maintenance offering for those clients that want it, or a more systemised approach, advice and scheduling for those that love being hands-on looking after their own pond for most of the time.

It’s been a great experience this week attending Pondemonium for the fourth time since my first in 2018 and looking forward to bringing my learnings back to help add to our business and to improve our ongoing clients experiences.

It wouldn’t be possible to attend events like this without a great team back home keeping things going building great projects for our great clients.

So thanks team. Mike, Toby and Oskar onsite building our latest swimming pond project. And my wife Vanessa keeping our books and family running smoothly.

STONEVILLE SWIMPOND PROGRESS

The guys are making great progress on this swimming pond project in Stoneville in the Perth Hills while Tony is away in Chicago for the biannual Aquascape Pondemonium pond conference.

We started the digging on this project last week before finding a bit of rock that needed a rock breaker on Monday.

It was a bit slow going on Monday with the rock breaking combined with some VERY wet weather on the same day.

But WOW since then the progress has been fantastic!

The all important pond liner and protective geofabric are installed with a subdrain in gravel French drain style trench below.

And they are well underway with the rock placement.

And it’s looking AWESOME 😎 🪨 👍

SWIMPOND UNDERWAY

We have just started our newest swimming pond project in Stoneville in the Perth Hills.

Just had the one day there so far, so it’s been all about setout, setup and digging... And digging…

This rock pool swimming pond will be 7,5m x 5m in size, up to 1.8m deep with a generous extended beach area entry.

It’s been more than a little while since our last swimpond with a beach. In fact this will be our first swimpond with a beach this year! 🏖️

Looking forward to seeing it come together over the next few weeks.

MARIGINIUP ECO POND

Just yesterday we completed this double waterfall ecosystem pond at Mariginiup.

Love that it’s under the patio roof which will just totally twinkle at night with the soft warm lights from the pond. ✨ 💡

And directly opposite the big kitchen windows too. What an outlook 🪟 💦

It was certainly a bit tricky swinging in the rocks with excavator arm so close to the roof frame, but tricky conditions sometimes bring out the best results.

We love building ponds and waterfalls of all sizes. And we’re really loving these smaller ecosystem ponds we’ve building a few of lately, with another just booked to build in North Beach soon too!!

DARLINGTON SWIMPOND PROGRESS

We’ve made some more great progress here in the last week or so. The swimpond is complete, 3/4 of the fencing complete, and the Remco swimjet housing installed into custom cut block coursing to get it to exactly the optimum height.

There’s also been LOTS of electrical trenches in and prelaid. Three phase cabling for a new sub-board to run the swimjet, upcoming sauna and of course the swimming pond itself.

We’re pressing the PAUSE button here now for a month or so as we wait for the clients sauna to arrive so that the electrical work can all be complete and swimjet turbine and control panel installed and commissioned.

Then we’ll be back to build a deck over the swimjet end of the pond and to complete the pool fencing so that we can get this hybrid swimming pond natural pool filled and running.

Can’t wait!!!
