Renovation works in the heart of Melbourne C*D.

The Eastside team recently completed commercial plumbing works at a Melbourne hotel as part of a major renovation.

The works included rerouting existing water services to suit the new layout, while keeping disruption to the hotel’s day-to-day operations to a minimum.

We also installed strategically positioned isolation valves throughout the system, giving building management greater control and allowing individual sections to be isolated for future maintenance — without shutting down the entire building.

Better access. Better control. Less disruption.

No hot water? Let’s get to the source. 🔧

This one was a little different…

Our team was called out to a high-rise apartment building where a hot water system had stopped producing hot water.

The challenge? This wasn’t your everyday HWS.

We were working on a German-made hot water system, which meant the parts and setup were a little different to what we’d normally come across. After investigating the system and identifying the cause, we sourced the required part and had it ordered in.

Once it arrived, the unit was pulled apart, the new part installed and, while we had it open, we gave the system a full service.

Everything was put back together, tested and checked — and just like that, hot water was back up and running. 🔥

Different system. Different parts. Same approach — find the problem, get it sorted and get it working properly.

The leak detection crew was back doing what they do best. 👑💧

After investigating water staining beneath this balcony, initial flood testing came back clear.

A targeted dye test revealed the source almost instantly, allowing our team to repair the affected areas on the spot with fresh caulking.

Leak detected, report completed and another problem fixed. 💪🏽

What started as a frost valve replacement turned into something much bigger.

After getting up on the second storey roof in Doveton, our team found the frost valve had failed, but so had the tank connection point, causing the system to burst.

To keep the client supplied with hot water, we installed a temporary connection directly into the boosted instantaneous hot water unit while preparing a long term replacement solution.

The leak had also caused significant corrosion to the roof sheets and box gutter, with rust damage requiring replacement works.

Sometimes the visible problem is only part of the story. 👊🏼
