Attended the Port Hacking Outrigger Canoe Club Sponsors Night, and we at at Optilink are still reflecting on what an incredible night it was ❤️
What makes the Sponsorship different is that while PHOCC actively seek sponsorships to help in their sport, their members, they also direct some of that support back into the community through a chosen charities
This year, they and we supported
GiantSteps!
An organisation, a school , that helps autistic kids and their families
Although there’s government grants this school runs on, ultimately it is quite a bit short of the mark and rely on donations to fund what is an awesome program
Hearing from sponsors about why they support PHOCC was genuinely moving. It wasn't about advertising, exposure or business opportunities.
We heard the same message - they want to give back. They want to be businesses that make a positive difference.
I guess when it comes to Optilink , we’re just hard workers, we play with a straight bat, fair and reasonable! and if we can see a club like PHOCC who ultimately gets sponsorship for their club but donates a significant portion of that back to organisations like GiantSteps, as a business , that’s where we want to be!
I know last years event supporting Family Co. the CEO of that organisation was brought to tears by the money donated, and in talking with her explained the significance of the money, the relief, and the breathing room it gave them to keep forging ahead
At Optilink it’s our belief that you must be grateful for receiving……. But none more important than being incredibly gracious in giving
