Awning windows get double glazed too.

The sash comes out and the main frame stays put.
Old glass out, a new sealed unit in and new beads pinned around it, on trestles in the driveway.
Then the sash goes back into its own frame.

Same awning, now double glazed and ready for painting.

Different glass catches different light.
The unit is built for you.

These are glass samples: textured on the left, frosted on the right. Obscure in a bathroom, clear in a lounge, patterned wherever the original window called for it.
Each unit is made to match what was already there, pane for pane.

The green van, outside a weatherboard terrace. Ladders on the roof, the day's glass in the back, drop sheets already down inside. Most jobs are a day, a room. If you've seen this van in your street, a neighbour kept their windows and lost the draught.

The glass is cold. That's where the water lands.

Single glass sits at the temperature of outside.
The warm air in the room gives up its moisture the moment it touches the pane.
