A job this week that meant a little more than most.
We were asked to take a look at these trees on the Upper East Coast, with the intention of having them removed. During the inspection, we learned that the family has been going through an incredibly challenging couple of years, with their young daughter undergoing treatment for cancer.
Thankfully, her prognosis is positive. But as anyone who has had to travel for ongoing medical treatment from the East Coast would understand, the time away from work and the added costs can put a lot of pressure on a family.
Once we understood their situation, we decided this was one job we could simply take off their plate.
We’re fortunate to have built a business that puts us in a position to help someone out from time to time, and doing this job at no cost felt like the right thing to do.
What has been especially good to see is that we’re far from the only ones. Since hearing this family’s story, we’ve learned about other local people and businesses quietly finding their own ways to lend a hand.
That’s one of the things we love about living and working on the East Coast. People look after each other.
This community has supported Tasmanian Arbor Care and helped us build the business we have today. When an opportunity comes along to return some of that support, we’re very happy to do it.
