Not everything in the succulent garden needs to be soft and pretty. 😏🌵

I love the spotted leaves and slightly prehistoric look of this one — especially when the sun catches it like this.

This is what a bit of stress can look like when you’re a succulent. ❤️💚

Those red edges aren’t a sign that something is wrong — many succulents intensify their colours in response to things like strong light, cooler temperatures or changes in watering.

And sometimes the result is pretty spectacular.

One of my favourite things about growing succulents is watching the same plant change completely through the seasons. 🌵

A little introduction to AUX Succulents 🌵💚

AUX started with a simple idea behind the name — AU for Australia, X for extra. And somehow “extra” turned out to be pretty accurate… because a few succulents became a few more, and then a few more… 😂

Everything you see here is grown and photographed by me in my garden in SE Victoria.

I share the beautiful ones, the weird ones, the dramatic colour changes, flowers, new growth and all the little things that make growing succulents slightly addictive.
