Final product of a recent renovation 🔨✨

This project was all about giving the home a fresh new feel while keeping it functional and inviting. New flooring, a batten ceiling, bifold doors, internal sheeting, and exterior cladding all came together to completely transform the space.

The result? A seamless indoor-outdoor area that feels brighter, more open, and perfect for entertaining 🌿

Simple upgrades done right can completely change the look and feel of a home — and this is a perfect example.

Great to be doing work for our local high school!
The GKI team completed a couple of small covered seating areas at Mossman State High School over the Christmas school holidays — great to have another happy customer and to provide a more sun-safe, FNQ weather-friendly area for the students 👍

Over the holidays we had two permanent shade shelter seating areas constructed. They are all ready to go for the first week of school!

🎄 Christmas Closure – GKI Builders 🎄

The GKI team will be taking a short break to enjoy the festive season and celebrate our 2025 successes. We’ll be closed from Friday, 19th December to Tuesday, 6th January 2026, returning refreshed and ready for a big year ahead.

We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year and trusted us with some great projects — we truly appreciate it.

Here’s a look behind the scenes at a slope protection project completed post TC Jasper — a new type of job for the crew, but when it comes to concrete, we’re right at home. The transformation from the initial land slip to the finished stabilised slope speaks for itself.

Swipe through to see the before and after… and spot the trusty on-site inspectors in the pre-works photo 🐶👀 They took their role very seriously from the top of the slip!

Almost two years on from TC Jasper, it’s incredible to see how far our little town has come. As we head into the wet season, this is a good reminder to make sure you’re wet-season ready ☔️. This time of year can be tough for some — especially after the devastation our shire has endured — so a little preparation and looking out for one another goes a long way 🤝

🚧 Big things happening this week! 🚧

This week we kicked off a major shed project — and this 24x14m slab is proof that size is no issue for our small but mighty team 💪

While we might be a small crew, we’re more than capable when it comes to the big stuff. With the help of our reliable and high-quality subcontractors, we’ve been busy getting the slab prepped and poured — and it’s looking awesome already!
