HSG have designed & constructed to work with the natural lay of the land, this landscape brings together natural stonework, Australian native planting and lawn to create a space that feels connected to its surroundings.

A diverse selection of native plants has been incorporated throughout, chosen to complement the natural character of the site and provide texture, structure and seasonal interest as the landscape establishes.

A large natural rock bench seat was also incorporated into the design, creating a simple and functional place to sit while becoming a feature within the landscape itself.

Working with the existing levels and contours of the site allowed us to create a landscape that feels natural, considered and established within its environment.

A beautiful landscape brought together with a mix of native, productive and functional spaces.

The standout double header Xanthorrhoea creates a cracking feature amongst the native plantings and rockwork throughout the front yard.

Out the back, we constructed a natural dry creek bed, productive garden with raised planters and climbers, while still creating a relaxed space for the family to sit back, entertain and enjoy a fire pit.

HSG is proud to have been awarded the landscape, paving and concrete package for the new Port Adelaide Football Club facility.

From large-scale concrete works and commercial paving through to detailed landscape construction, this project showcases the capability of our team to deliver high-quality outcomes on a major South Australian development.

A huge credit to our incredible team for their hard work, commitment and attention to detail throughout every stage of the project.

We’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to SJP Concrete & Exteriors and zagari concrete for their support and professionalism in assisting with the concrete works. It’s always a pleasure working alongside quality contractors who share the same commitment to delivering outstanding results.

Another quality landscape construction project completed by the HSG team.

This project features natural stone paving, feature boulders, native planting and premium garden beds, all designed to complement the home while creating a functional and timeless outdoor space.

This project is really starting to take shape.

Using large natural stone retaining walls, we’ve created multiple functional levels that not only manage the site’s natural fall but also transform it into a series of usable outdoor spaces. Every terrace has been carefully planned to maximise both aesthetics and practicality.

The upper level will become the perfect entertaining zone, complete with a fire pit overlooking the property, while the dedicated vegetable garden area will provide a productive space to grow fresh produce year-round. The lower levels will continue to soften as the native gardens establish, creating a landscape that blends seamlessly into the surrounding hills.

We’re excited to see this one completed.

A project we’re incredibly proud to deliver.

From a bare paddock to a premium landscape that complements one of South Australia’s most unique destinations, every detail was carefully considered.

Our team completed the landscape construction surrounding the Safari Lodge.

The result is a landscape that feels natural to its surroundings while providing a welcoming and sustainable environment for guests to enjoy.

Noah has now been part of the HSG family for an incredible 5 years and what a journey it has been.

From day one, Noah showed a natural talent for horticulture, picking up new skills quickly and developing into a valued member of our team. During his time with us, he successfully completed his Certificate III in Horticulture and has been involved in all aspects of our horticultural works across South Australia.

Noah is hardworking and always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

Outside of work, Noah is a man of simple pleasures. If there’s a chicken schnitzel on the menu at the pub, you can guarantee he’ll order it usually with nothing more than tomato sauce!

And when it comes to KFC, it’s safe to say Noah might just be Colonel Sanders number one customer.🐔

We’d like to give a big welcome to Big Benny, who has now been with HSG for six months!

Benny joined us after making a career change from the tyre industry and in a short amount of time he has come a long way. He is eager and keen to learn to grow every day as he learns the trade.

What stands out most about Benny is his positive attitude and willingness to help wherever he can. Whether it’s on the job site or lending a hand after hours, he’s always keen to get involved and support the team. His polite nature makes him a valued member of Hills Sustainable Gardens.

And, of course, we can’t forget his recent contribution for the past month, Benny has been treating himself to a cake for smoko each week, so we thought we’d showcase today’s “light meal”! 😂
