At Matthew Dean Architects, we’re always striving to create homes that feel effortless to live in — places where light, proportion, and materiality come together in a way that just makes sense.

From the outset, our goal was to design a waterfront duplex that feels calm, warm, and deeply connected to its surroundings. We shaped the façade with clean, balanced lines, then carried that clarity through every space inside. Generous glazing brings natural light into the heart of the home, while the indoor–outdoor flow supports the way people actually live on the Gold Coast.

The material palette was chosen to feel grounded and timeless — nothing excessive, just honest textures that age gracefully. Each bedroom has its own bathroom to give every family member a sense of privacy and retreat, and the living zones are arranged to feel open yet purposeful.

This home is a reflection of our studio’s approach: thoughtful design, considered details, and spaces that elevate everyday life.
