At Clover Homes we design accessibility to feel natural.

That means thinking about the little things early on: a larger Clipsal Prestige switch, compliant door handles set at the right height, an accessible toilet, grab rails, a movable shower head for wheelchair reach, and a floating vanity with easy-to-use tapware.

Those details change a person’s independence, safety and dignity every day.
If you need special requirements in your home, please reach out to the team.

This one feature can save lives. In this group home every decision started with fire protection.

Bedrooms and walls are built to a one hour fire rating, with sealed penetrations, collars and sprinklers that will deploy automatically. A fire indicator panel calls the fire brigade and the front door opens so crews can get in fast.

If your project has special fire requirements, please reach out to the team and we can see how we can help.

Spotting issues up front lets us plan permits, delivery windows and specialist equipment so the project stays on time and on budget.

We always do a site assessment to see if we can navigate the challenges up front.

Instead of bored concrete piers, we sometimes use screw piers. Think of them as the legs of a table, with the slab as the tabletop.

An excavator drives them into the ground, engineers record torque and depth, and only once the required bearing pressure is achieved do we cut and cap each pier. It is precise, measurable and very reliable.

On our Chatswood project the plans were already DA approved, so we had a clear starting point before construction began.

Rather than a rough estimate we produced a Bill of Quantities. It maps every material, labour item, finish and quantity. That level of detail lets us create an accurate tender up front instead of hitting clients with variations mid build.

Investing time in planning and pricing buys clarity, confidence and reassurance before the first shovel goes in.

For this custom build, the brief needed to include Flush Thresholds throughout to make it safe and compliant as a group home for more vulnerable community members.

A flush threshold removes the tiny lip at the bathroom entrance so people do not trip and can move freely from hallway to bedroom to bathroom. It looks simple, but getting it right means careful drainage, waterproofing and planning from the start.

That upfront work is what makes a home safer and more independent as mobility changes with age. If you want a home that works for everyone, reach out to the team and we will help you plan it right.

We’re signed up for City2Surf as a team again, and this year we’re aiming higher. In 2025 we set out to raise $5,000 and, thanks to friends, family, contractors, suppliers and our wider community, we raised $7,800. That showed what’s possible when local people pull together.

So now our target is $10,000 for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation to support kids and families doing it tough.

If you can donate, or share this post, we’d be so grateful. Let’s see how far we can take this together!

One of our more complex projects with 3 levels and a granny flat - definitely a workout 🤣

Planning is everything when it comes to builds like this.

We excavated only the back section, built a ramp, laid the slab and had brickwork, roof tiles, rainwater tank and supplies staged.

The question most people miss is logistics. Speak to a builder with experience so you have peace of mind and trust in the process.

Don’t gamble on your build.
