Good people build great things. Last Friday night, we celebrated a few of ours.

We spent the evening at the NAWIC Victoria Awards celebrating the women who are shaping construction, including the ones we get to build with every day.

Great projects don't happen without great people. Whether it's on site, in the office or leading the project, the women in our team create diversity of thought and action, and we're proud to celebrate each other.

We're incredibly proud to share that Kaitlin Allan has been nominated for the NAWIC Young Achiever Award, which recognises the dedication and excellence of individuals aged 30 and under who are making an outstanding contribution to the construction, property and infrastructure industries. The award celebrates significance of industry contribution, leadership potential, and involvement in community affairs.

Kaitlin's nomination reflects the impact she has made through leading Jardon's first formal social procurement initiative on the Stockland Halcyon Evergreen Clubhouse project. She championed opportunities for Indigenous-owned businesses, social enterprises and diverse suppliers, helping create positive outcomes not just for the project, but for the wider community. She also developed the frameworks, processes and tools that have embedded social procurement into the way we work, creating a lasting legacy for future projects.

Barrabool Road Childcare Centre is starting to take shape.

A significant milestone has been reached on site, with basement excavation and footings now complete at the Childcare Centre in Highton. This purpose-built facility is being delivered by Jardon for client, Begley Group, and will provide a high-quality early learning environment for the local community.

Next, the team will turn its attention to the basement slab and lift overrun works, continuing to build momentum as the project progresses.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Smiths Lane Community Hub, Clyde North

Jardon Group was engaged by Mirvac to deliver the Smiths Lane Community Hub – a high-amenity, single-storey commercial and retail building designed to anchor Stage 1 of the Smiths Lane Town Centre.

Located in Clyde North, the hub includes a large-format sales suite, development office, boutique café and gym, along with future-proofing for a potential swim school. Complemented by high-quality landscaping, carparking, and a new urban plaza, the facility serves as a vibrant gathering point for both current and future residents.

The Smiths Lane Community Hub stands as a key milestone in Jardon’s growing portfolio of precinct-defining community assets – balancing design, durability and activation.

Despite our childhood love of mud pies, we're happy to rise above the mud and rock at Discovery Doncaster Childcare Centre and get into some satisfyingly slushy concrete.

This week marked a major milestone with our first significant concrete pour completed successfully, setting the foundation for what's ahead. While the structure starts to take shape, our team is already moving onto the next stage, setting columns and installing Dincel walls in preparation for the first-floor slab pour scheduled for late next week.

Great momentum on site, as we continue bringing this project to life for Donaro and Discovery Childcare.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Mary Queen of Heaven Primary School, Greenvale

Jardon has delivered the new Mary Queen of Heaven Primary School in Greenvale, designed by Y2 Architecture. This project includes nine adaptable General Learning Areas, two specialised learning spaces, a sacred gathering space and a half-oval play area, all built with flexible doors and walls for various learning activities.

This building enables collaborative, open learning while also accommodating quiet, reflective spaces, fostering an adaptable, modern educational environment for students and teachers alike.

We all get busy, it’s easy to focus on the work in front of us, but RUOK? Day is about taking that extra break to connect. Whether it’s a quick chat over coffee, a phone call, or just asking someone how they’re REALLY going, can go a long way.

At Jardon, we live our values of building together and looking out for each other. If you’re not feeling OK, please know you don’t have to go through it alone - reach out to a mate.
