Sarah is a Registered Architect and member of the RAIA. She has worked in various areas of Architecture from hospitality and tourism to larger commercial buildings and has won design awards for her residential projects in the local area including ‘Best use of Colour” for her own home and ‘Best Renovation under 250K’ for a residential project in Bellingen.

Her vast array of experience in both commercial and residential design led to her establishing her own practice ‘Armstrong Architects' in Coffs Harbour 10 years ago. A recent Armstrong Architects project in Sawtell, where rich textures, natural materials and a restrained palette create a home that feels both grounded and quietly luxurious.

At its heart is this stunning library landing — designed not simply as a space to move between floors, but as a place to pause, retreat and stay awhile.

Dark, moody joinery, warm timber and layers of books transform what could have been a transitional space into one of the most memorable moments in the home.

Because sometimes the spaces between are just as important as the destination.
