Just finished up this repointing job today 🔨
Cracked and crumbling mortar is one of those things you don't notice until it's too late — water gets in under the ridge capping, tiles shift, and suddenly you've got a leak that could've been prevented.
I grind out all the old stuff, repack it with fresh mortar, and seal it up tight so it's good to go for years.
