Wired in a dedicated circuit and safety switch for a new A/C at a job in Capalaba- customer supplied the unit, boys handled the electrical side and got it all labelled up at the board. Nothing flash about a switchboard but it's the bit that keeps everything running safe. Give us a shout if your board needs sorting.

💡 You know the one — that old fluoro tube that flickers, hums, and takes a good few seconds to decide whether it's coming on today.

A customer had grabbed a modern fitting to replace theirs, so we pulled the old fluorescent out and got the new one up and running. Lights the whole ceiling evenly now — no flicker, no buzz.

New TCL 3.5kW split system just gone in at Wellington Point- outdoor unit up, dedicated circuit run, isolator fitted next to it. System's pressure tested, evacuated and commissioned properly before we handed it over. Straightforward job, no dramas. If you're after a split system before summer really kicks in, give us a shout.

Interconnected smoke alarm going in at Wellington Point- one of these in every bedroom and hallway, all wired together so if one goes off they all go off. Compliant with AS3786 and tested and certified on the day. Green light means it's talking to the rest of the system. Seven year warranty on the units themselves. If your alarms are getting old or you're not sure they're linked up properly, give us a shout.

Hot water timer had cooked itself on this one in Capalaba- pulled it out and put in a new timer and contactor. Testing everything with the meter before we button it back up, 14.8 amps and happy with that. Reset the cover on and it's back to heating water instead of giving up on the job. Shouldn't be a drama again for a while.

New interconnected smoke alarm going in at a job in Thornlands- hardwired with battery backup, tested and certified to AS3786. Same job also had an old yellow exhaust fan swapped out for a new 250mm unit, plus a slimline oyster light fitted above the toilet on the existing switch. Small jobs but they all add up to a house that's actually compliant. Give us a shout if your smoke alarms are getting old.

A customer supplied split system in at Sheldon this week

Outdoor unit mounted, isolator installed alongside it, and conduit run up to the eaves. Straightforward install — tested and commissioned before we headed off.

While we were there we also swapped in a new power point and sorted out a data cable that had been playing up. Handy having a sparky on site for the aircon.
