How long does a build really take? ⏳ Here's the honest answer.

MYTH: "A new home can be built in 12 weeks."

FACT: A typical single-storey Azlaan home takes about 6 months on site — plus time for approvals and selections before we start.

The stages 👇
📝 Before we start — approvals & selections
🧱 Base / Slab — weeks 1–4
🏠 Frame — weeks 5–9
🪟 Lock-up — weeks 10–15
🔧 Fixing — weeks 16–21
🔑 Completion — weeks 22–26

Weather, site conditions, approvals, late selections and variations can all affect timing — which is why we set clear dates, and back them with our on-time guarantee: if we run past the agreed completion date, we pay your rent until you have your keys.

Choosing a builder is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make. 🏡

Before you compare quotes, ask these 5 questions 👇

1️⃣ Are you licensed and fully insured?
2️⃣ What exactly is included in my price?
3️⃣ How realistic are the allowances?
4️⃣ How does the payment schedule work?
5️⃣ Can I see homes you have built?

The answers will tell you far more than the price alone.

At Azlaan Group, we welcome every one of these questions — and we'll answer them in writing.

Does double glazing really matter in Canberra? ☀️

MYTH: "Just turn the heating or cooling up."
FACT: Up to 40% of a home's heating energy can be lost through its windows (YourHome, Australian Government).

Why it matters here 👇
🪟 Roughly halving a window's U-value can halve heat loss through the glass
❄️ Warmer rooms through frosty Canberra winters
☀️ Less heat gain in summer
🔇 Helps reduce outside noise and condensation

That's why every Azlaan home includes double glazing to all windows and sliding doors — as standard.

Is your home double glazed? Comment YES or NO 👇
