The knockdown rebuild project at Watson 5 has reached a major milestone: demolition work is now successfully complete.

Throughout the demolition, our team took great care to protect the surrounding properties, neighbouring structures, and the environment. We followed strict safety procedures at every stage, kept noise and dust under control, and sorted materials on site so that as much as possible could be recycled or disposed of responsibly.

All services, including power, water, and gas, were safely disconnected before work began, and the site was cleared and inspected to make sure it is ready for the next phase.

With demolition behind us, the site is now prepared for the new build. Up next, we move into site preparation and the early stages of construction, where the new home will begin to take shape.

We are back at Whitlam 2, and we have made very good progress. The build has officially reached lock up stage.

Steel wall framing is complete, ceiling battens are up, and windows are installed and protected ahead of the next trades moving in. You can see the ducting for the heating and cooling system already run through the ceiling frame, along with the wall insulation batts fitted between the studs.

Inside, the timber feature door with its frosted glass panels gives a good look at the finishes still to come.

The site is secure now, so we can push ahead with the internal work.

Another complex build is underway on our Mawson 8 site, where we are progressing a dual occupancy project from the ground up.

Today marks a major milestone. We are pouring the lower floor slab.

This site came with a real challenge. The soil conditions required us to drill around 78 pier holes across the block to secure a solid foundation before any slab work could begin.

To support the structure long term, we have packed the slab with heavy duty N20 steel bars, giving it the strength this build demands.

Once the lower slab cures, the next stage is installing the waterproof wall, followed by construction of the upper floor.

Projects like this are exactly why we do what we do. Getting the foundation right the first time sets up everything that follows.

Phase 3 moving along nicely. Timber frames and Structural Steel doing their thing, walls going up, crew hitting their rhythm. Always satisfying when you can walk the site and actually see the building emerge from the bones.
