Just finishing running the light feeds for a smart home in Burra. About 1km of cable run from the top end of the home. Still the bottom half left. Every bank of lights is controlled by relays and requires a feed to be run back to the board. A little different from your normal home.

Replaced some old halogen downlights today with the Bright Green night shift LED downlight. They are expensive downlights at about $95 bucks each.

Looking forward to testing them out and see if they are worth the money.

They do look awesome and very low glare which is great for 2400mm high ceilings.

Small problem with one switch not holding on the right colour temperature. Pretty good considering we replaced 90 LED oyster lights with only one issue. Using manufacturers with long warranties is also a must. The labor to install the lights is the most costly part for electricians. Stick with manufacturers that value your time.

I have been dealing with and been very impressed with their service. I'm posting the video here to show them the one faulty light as the video is too big to email.

with another 10/10 renovation. Its in the ugly stage before sheeting. Once the sheeting is done we can pull out our cables ready for painting and Fit off. Its going to be a really nice space when it's finished.

Replacement of a damaged light pole. Another common job is the replacing of light poles to LED fittings. Longer life with less maintenance.

Its probably the less maintenance that's the biggest draw for a lot of commercial areas. The cost alone of bulbs is high let alone the time to replace them.

Why some LED lights stop working is because of faulty electronics. Here is an example of how the manufacturers try and cram all the chips inside a small area. If anyone of these electronic parts fails the LED light will fail.

It's one of the most frustrating thing about LED lights. The cheap lights don't last but they are advertised otherwise.

Manufacturers don't make it clear when you are buying LED light bulbs what colour temperature you are buying. I have been caught more than I should admit to. Here is an example of how similar the boxes look when the colour of the lights are extremely different.

There are now more options for heat lights in bathrooms. The NEO tastic range is really expensive at around $600 each. In slab heating works a lot better as you need to stand under a tastic for it to work.

There are also other brands competing in this area now so definitely shop around you might find something a lot cheaper.
