We are celebrating another successful award win with our NSW and ACT teams taking home awards at the National AIB Professional Excellence Awards over the weekend in Canberra.

These achievements recognise the projects long-term benefits to the wider communities and Hindmarsh’s capability across the Industrial and Government sectors. Stockland Momenta Banksmeadow is now an operational multi-storey facility housing major retailers for logistics and freight. AWM Bean Building Extension and Central Energy Plant is the latest modernisation of the iconic Australian War Memorial, continuing the remembrance of Australia’s involvement in both World War I and II, for generations to come.

A huge congratulations to our South Australian team, who recently attended the AIB South Australian Building Professional Excellence Awards and took home the award for Commercial Construction ($25M - $60M) for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Mental Health Rehabilitation Service project.

This outstanding facility provides a purpose-built rehabilitation environment, supporting mental health recovery and delivering lasting benefits to the South Australian community. This award win has also secured our place at the AIB National Professional Excellence Awards later this month in Canberra, where the project will be recognised.

This achievement reflects the dedication, collaboration and expertise of everyone involved in bringing this important healthcare project to life.

An outstanding achievement for our team at the 2026 NSW Australian Institute of Building (AIB) Professional Excellence in Building Awards, receiving the Commercial Construction $60 Million + category award for Stockland Momenta Banksmeadow.

The evening was hosted by the NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building as part of its 75th anniversary celebrations. The awards recognise excellence, leadership and professionalism across the building and construction industry. It was a fantastic evening celebrating this achievement alongside industry peers and partners, securing our place at the National Professional Excellence Awards next month in Canberra.

Recently, the HammondCare and Hindmarsh teams came together to celebrate the commencement of construction with a traditional Sod Turn ceremony at the Greenwich site.

Andrew Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer at HammondCare and Rowan Hindmarsh, Chief Executive Officer at Hindmarsh, respectively spoke about our partnership and transforming the existing Greenwich Hospital into a state-of-the-art integrated health campus for the care of older people with complex health needs.

Facilities of the new health campus will include a brand-new health and care building, residential aged care accommodation, seniors living apartments and respite care facilities.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Premier of New South Wales, Chris Minns , and Minister for Health, Ryan Park , at the New Bankstown Hospital site.

Hindmarsh is currently delivering the enabling works package, including the careful dismantling and demolition of existing buildings. These works, together with upcoming site remediation and essential services upgrades, will prepare the site for the commencement of main construction works in 2027.

This project is another significant example of Hindmarsh's ongoing contribution to healthcare infrastructure across Western Sydney. We are proud to be supporting the delivery of this important health precinct, having previously completed the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Emergency Department Refurbishment and Expansion, which enhanced emergency care services for the local community.

It's a privilege to return to Bankstown and play a role in creating a modern healthcare facility that will serve the growing needs of Western Sydney for generations to come.

PROJECT WIN: New Generation Catherine House, SA

We are grateful to share a meaningful new project win for Hindmarsh – New Generation Catherine House.

Working in partnership with Housing Choices Australia and Catherine House, New Generation Catherine House will include 52 apartments across an eight-storey development, purpose-built to create a safe and supportive environment for women experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence.

From a construction perspective, we’re bringing a considered and efficient approach, incorporating prefabricated systems and innovative slab solutions to reduce waste, improve program certainty, and minimise disruption on a constrained site.

The development will offer a mix of crisis, transitional and long-term accommodation, with self-contained apartments that include private bathrooms, kitchens and laundry facilities. Thoughtfully designed to support both independence and community, spaces such as a Women’s Centre including education and training areas, shared kitchen facilities, meeting rooms, and secure outdoor spaces will foster connection, wellbeing and most importantly – safety. There will also be 24/7 specialised on-site support, including a dedicated staff accommodation.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring this project to life that will have such a lasting social impact.
