Whole home battery backup, sorted.

Just commissioned one of the new Sungrow Energy Bridge systems on a 3-phase home in Canberra. This is the setup that keeps the whole house running through a blackout.

When the grid drops out, it switches over on its own, power stays on. Grid comes back, it switches itself back. You don't lift a finger.

Being a brand new product we've only just been able to start installing these but we will be doing a lot more in the coming months

If you're thinking about a battery and want proper whole-home backup rather than just a couple of circuits, get in touch.

⚡ **When the power goes out, this is what a "job done right" looks like.**

At AWE Electrical Services, we don't just install solar, battery storage, EV chargers and switchboard upgrades across Canberra — we build relationships that last well past installation day. One recent customer asked us to fit an **automatic transfer switch**, which detects a grid outage instantly and switches the home over to battery backup, no manual flick required.

A few days ago, a customer in **Waramanga** got in touch to tell us their switch kicked in perfectly during a recent blackout — dinner kept cooking, lights stayed on, and the kids didn't miss a beat with homework. That's the whole point: power backup that just works, without anyone having to think about it.

If you're searching for a trusted solar installer near me, or a battery installer Canberra, or an EV charger installer ACT, or need a switchboard upgrade* we'd love to help.

We’ve just expanded this site with eight additional AIKO 490 W partial shade optimised panels, bringing the total to 50 panels paired with 48 kWh of battery storage.

In peak summer the system delivers around 138 kWh per day. Even in the depths of winter (mid June) it still produces a solid 46 kWh per day.

The household can, cover virtually all daytime loads year-round, store excess energy for evening and overnight use and minimise grid reliance even through the lowest production months in Canberra
