A little summary video of the food forest I set up in a public space (Gawari Mada) in Holt. 🍇

It’s about 4 years old now and hasn’t really been watered or weeded regularly but is still quite productive and attracts a lot of pollinators. 🐝

Being a garden commons means it’s open to anyone to access, harvest from and plant into so it’s truly a community resource and something I’m quite proud of! 🧑‍🌾

Just a few shots at the Strathnairn Garden Commons a few weeks ago. Native rosella buds had formed, along with gooseberry husks and the garlic has sprouted in the raised beds. 🧄

There's been some great initial growth and establishment of plants since planting a month ago. Most of the garden will be pretty dormant over winter before coming back in spring. 🌸

It’s been such a great experience developing the garden with the help of so many amazing community members.
