A vision board that leans into drama, pairing deep espresso and forest tones with brass detailing for a bathroom that feels rich, layered and unapologetically moody.
Current favourites 🖤
Deep green zellige tiles bringing texture and a handcrafted, almost jewel-like quality, brushed brass tapware and wall sconce cutting through the darker tones with warmth, a sculptural marble vessel basin softening the palette with natural movement, black and white diamond patterned tiling adding graphic contrast against the richer hues and a walnut stool grounding the space with sculptural, tactile warmth.
Designer builder perspective ✒️
"Roasted Espresso" is a palette for clients who want their bathroom to feel like a moment, not an afterthought. There's a real confidence in going this dark and this textural, the espresso browns and forest greens create a sense of depth you don't often see in bathroom design, and it pays off because every material earns its place. The brass is doing the quiet work here, without it the palette could tip into something too heavy, but that warm metallic thread keeps pulling the eye back up and around the space. The patterned tiling underfoot is a nice counterpoint too, a classic motif that stops the whole thing feeling too theatrical. This is the kind of direction we love bringing to a Canberra ensuite or powder room renovation, where there's scope to move away from the safe, light and bright default and give a space some real atmosphere.
