On this day in 1974, Richard Nixon resigned as President of the United States. As the accidental namesake of The Nixon Plumber, we feel obliged to mark the occasion. Unlike Richard, when we find a leak, we fix it—and we keep the tapes strictly for plumbing. 🔧💧

Most hose taps come fitted with a cheap plastic tap washer (jumper valve). We replace it with a brass one before we install the tap. It only costs a few dollars, but it's one of those little details that can make a big difference.

Although I haven’t posted on our socials for a little while, it’s been a big couple of months at The Nixon Plumber.

We’ve recently taken on an apprentice and expanded the team with another experienced plumber, which means we’re now able to service most heat pump hot water systems across Canberra.

We’re also offering affordable gutter cleaning services heading into winter, which is the perfect time to clear leaves and prevent overflowing gutters and stormwater issues.

It’s been a busy period behind the scenes and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow and improve our services across Canberra.
