Got a house with no eave overhang? Watch this before your next storm. 🏠⚠️
Most gutters sit out past the wall — so if they overflow, the water just spills outside the house
onto the ground. Not on these houses.
When your house has no eave overhang, the gutter is built straight onto the wall. If the back of
the gutter sits even slightly lower than the front, or the gutter gets blocked and overwhelmed
with water — that overflow doesn't spill outward. It runs behind the gutter and might go straight
into the wall cavity, the inside of your house.
No overhang = no margin for error. These gutters need to be checked and cleared more
vigilantly than a standard setup.
If your place is built this way and you can't remember the last time someone actually got up
there — that might be a problem waiting for the next big rain.
