Wet areas are where preparation really counts.

Tile work, timber ceiling, terrazzo floor, full-length glazing. Each surface has different requirements, and they all need to work together in the one space.

Getting it right means treating each surface correctly so the whole thing reads as one finish, not a collection of separate jobs.

Textured plaster either looks intentional or it doesn't. There's not much in between.

Getting it to read right across a whole wall means consistent depth and tone throughout. Any variation and it just looks like something went wrong.

That comes down to knowing the material and getting the prep right before you start.

End result is a finish that gives the room its character without drawing attention to itself.

Timber ceilings take a lot more work than they look.

The grain, the spacing, the way light moves across the boards. Any variation in the coating stands out across the whole span.

Every board needs proper prep, and the oil or coating has to suit the timber species. The goal is protecting it without flattening out what makes it look good.

Done right, it just looks like good timber.
